Board of Weld County Commissioners

Dear Commissioner Kennedy:
Deputy Dan Trelka recently resigned to accept employment in Wisconsin. He made
a written request to purchase the sidearm he had been issued to begin his law
enforcement career while employed'.with Weld County.
The sidearm Deputy Trelka desires to purchase is a Model 686 Smith & Wesson,
Serial Number AAF6839M. This weapon is being phased out and being replaced with
a semi-automatic. I am requesting this weapon be declared surplus and that the
Board accept a bid, at fair market value, of $200 from Mr. Trelka.

Your assistance and support of this request would be appreciated.
