The City of Evans Police Department is in need of some equipment , to equip
one of their police cars. They need an overhead light bar. a siren control
box and a patrol car prisoner screen. Due to tight budget dollars and not
including this equipment in their 1990 budget, they are not able to purchase
this needed equipment this year.
The Weld County Sheriff's Office has this equipment and was going, to sell it
at the next county auction. Not knowing what this equipment will bring, in
the past if n law enforcement agency needed this equipment the Sheriff's
Office sold it to them. The Evans Police Department has shown an interest
in the purchase of this equipment for $200.00, but would be unable to pay
for it until 1991.
The Sheriff's Office would like to have this equipment declared surplus and
loan it to the Evans Police Department until they can expend monies to
purchase it.
