HomeMy WebLinkAbout930277.tiff n e't RESOLUTION RE: DIRECT DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES STAFF TO INITIATE REZONING OF DOS RIOS SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services has received a petition submitted by property owners within Dos Rios Subdivision, and a request from Dos Rios, Inc. to change the existing R-1 (Low-Density Residential) Zone District to the E (Estates) Zone District, and WHEREAS, the Director of Planning Services has recommended the Board initiate rezoning of Dos Rios Subdivision, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to direct Planning staff to initiate the rezoning of the Dos Rios Subdivision. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Planning Services' staff be, and hereby is, directed to initiate a Change of Zone for the Dos Rios Subdivision. The property under consideration was originally zoned Estate on September 22, 1964 when the Weld County Zoning Resolution was in effect. The property was subsequently changed to the present R-1 zoning Classification on August 25, 1981 when the County established new zoning districts with Weld County Zoning Ordinance Number 89.
