RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO JOB SERVICE CONTRACT BETWEEN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND
STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Job Service
Contract between Employment Services and State Department of Labor and
Employment, becoming effective January 1, 1992, with the further terms and
conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Job Service Contract, between
Employment Services and State Department of Labor and Employment be, and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of January, A.D. , 1992, nunc pro
tunc January 1, 1992.

NOW THEREFORE, the parties signed hereto agree to the following promises, mutual
covenants and obligations herein contained.
WHEREAS, as to the State, authority exists in the Law and Funds have been budgeted,
appropriated and otherwise made available and a sufficient encumbered balance for
payment in Fund Code 100, ORGN Code 7200, APPR Code 306, Prog Code 1300, Func
Code 7500, GBL Code 2102; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Act of 1991 has become law; and
WHEREAS, many potentially eligible claimants for these benefits have been identified as
residing in Weld County; and
WHEREAS, unique procedures are federally required in the delivery of employment
services for these people; and
WHEREAS, both parties desire to modify their current Contract (DOLE No. 92-0001) to
provide financial support for the required services in accordance with Articles 3 and 3.1
of said contract; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination has been accomplished from and
with appropriate agencies.

1. This Amendment shall be effective January 1, 1992.
2. Consideration for this Amendment consists of the promises, mutual covenants and
obligations herein contained.
3. Article 13, which reads:
"Program Funding. In return for the services of the Contractor as described in this
Contract, State shall compensate Contractor as follows:
All services except for Veterans and Housing Inspection 191,172
Housing Inspection (6 inspections at $230.00 each) 1,380
The Contractor shall submit monthly expenditure statements itemizing costs
incurred by type, amount, and individual on forms prescribed by the State. In no
event shall the Contractor's total compensation under this Contract exceed One
Hundred Ninety—two Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty—two and No/100 Dollars
($192,552.00)."
is replaced with:
"Program Funding. In return for the services of the Contractor as described in this
contract, State shall compensate Contractor as follows:
All services except for Veterans and Housing Inspection 191,172
Housing Inspection (6 inspections at $230.00 each) 1,380
Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) 11,151
work registration and associated Employment Services.
The Contractor shall submit monthly expenditure statements itemizing costs
incurred by type, amount, and individual on forms prescribed by the State. In no
event•shall the Contractor's total compensation under this Contract: exceed Two
Hundred Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Three and No/100 Dollars ($203,703.00)."
4. Except as modified herein, the terms and conditions of the original contract (DOLE
92—0001) remain in full force and effect.

Subject: -- --_-- -.
Enclosed for Board review and approval is an Amendment to the Job Service
Contract between Employment Services and the Colorado Department of Labor and
Employment.
The Amendment states the following:
1. This Amendment shall be effective January 1, 1992.
2. Amendment shall increase original Contract funds to include funding for
costs incurred in the delivery of services associated with the Emergency
Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Program. This increase will be in the amount
of Eleven Thousand and One Hundred and Fifty One Dollars ($11,151) .
3. Employment Services of Weld County's funding under this Contract is Two
Hundred Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Three and No/100 Dollars ($203,703.00) .
