RE: AUTHORIZE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ADJOURN AS BOARD OF
EQUALIZATION FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1994
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 39-8-101, CRS, provides that the Board of County
Commissioners shall constitute a Board of Equalization for the adjustment and
equalization of assessments among the several taxpayers of Weld County, Colorado,
and to review the assessment roll of all taxable property located in Weld County,
as prepared by the Assessor, and to hear appeals from the determination of said
assessments fixed and made by the County Assessor of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, said Board of Equalization convened on July 27, 1994, and shall
adjourn by the 5th day of August, 1994, at such time when all petitions have been
acted upon by the Board of Equalization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that said Board of Equalization be, and hereby is, adjourned.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of August, A.D. , 1994.

With Commissioner Kirkmeyer absent, on July 27, 1994, Don Warden, Director
of Finance and Administration, presented for the record a list of protests
received by the Assessor during the 1994 protest period, showing action
taken by the Assessor's Office on each protest.
The Board of Equalization recessed until 9:00 a.m. on July 28, 1994.

On July 28, 1994, Chairman Webster called the meeting to order with all
Commissioners being present. Mike Sampson, Chief Appraiser, stated that
each petition will be presented on an individual basis by the appropriate

Pursuant to Section 39-8-104, Colorado Revised Statutes, notice is hereby
given that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
will sit as the County Board of Equalization, in its Chambers in the Weld
County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, beginning on
Wednesday, the 27th day of July, 1994 to review the assessment rolls of
all taxable property located in the County, as prepared by the Assessor,
and to hear appeals from determinations of the Assessor, and will continue
said hearing from day to day through August 10, 1994, as necessary.
Should any interested party desire the presence of a Court reporter to
make a record of the proceedings, in addition to the taped record which
will be kept during the hearing, the Clerk to the Board's Office shall be
advised in writing of such action at least five days prior to the hearing.
The cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting
party.
