RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH
CHILD ADVOCACY RESOURCE AND EDUCATION, INC. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN
TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and Child
Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc., effective November 1, 1994, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and Child
Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc., be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 28th day of December, A.D., 1994, nunc pro tunc November 1, 1994.

AMENDMENT TO
CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT
OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND CHILD ADVOCACY RESOURCE AND EDUCATION, INC.
This Amendment modification made and entered into this 21st day of
December, 1994, by and between the Weld County Department of Social Services,
hereinafter referred to as "Social Services," and the Child Advocacy Resource
and Education, Inc. hereinafter referred to as "CARE".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current contract for CARE
to reimburse training costs incurred to establish classes to assist children in
adjusting to the divorce of their parents; and
WHEREAS, funding is available through the Regular Administrative
Program to pay for one time only training costs of $3,400 to enable CARE
to be certified to present parenting classes. Adequate funds have been budgeted,
appropriated and otherwise made available; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination has been
accomplished from and with appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto
covenant and agree as follows:
1. This Amendment shall be effective as of November 1, 1994.
2. Exhibit B section one of Contract PY94-CPS-3 shall be revised as
follows:
Social Services agrees to reimburse CARE, in consideration
for the work, training, and services performed, a total amount not
to exceed Thirty Nine Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Five Dollars
($39,275.00) .
The contractor agrees to pay Social Services 20% of the
training costs noted above or $680.00 after receipt of $3,400 from
Social Services.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed the Modification

Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to the Agreement Between Child
Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc. (CARE) and the Weld County Department
of Social Services.
1. The Amendment will modify the current contract for CARE to reimburse
