TO SIGN COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH STATE HIGHWAY
DEPARTMENI; REGARDING PROJECT S 0054(3):
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
• Colorado, that they hereby approve q certain agreement with the State Highway
Comm&ssion of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use and benefit of the
Department of Highways of the State of Colorado, dated November 19, 1957, whereby
the County has reviewed and approved the Gebmetic Standards designated to govern
the construction of a Federal Aid Secondary Project to consist of improvements
on State Highway No. 66, extending from about 6.096(Net) miles from West of
Platteville Westerly, as per terms of said Agreement on behalf of Weld County by
signatures of the Board, as per attached Agreement and made a part of this
resolution.

Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith are two (2) copies of a Cooperative
Agreement for Project S 0054(3), west of Platteville to S.H.
87, upon which the signatures of the Weld County Commissioners
are required.
Please sign the agreements as indicated together with
the County Clerk and return both copies to this office for
further execution.
We have the plans completed on this project at this time
and are about 75 per cent complete with the right-of-way pur-
chasing. It is anticipated that if no court cases are involved
in our right-of-way settlements, the job should be ready to
go to contract in the early part of December to be completed by
the middle of next year. It might be noted that the project is
being built in two stages, with this first contract to include
all of the construction except the asphalt paving, which will be
let in a subsequent contract. We will appreciate your usual
prompt cooperation in this matter in order that we may proceed
with the project.

THIS AGREEi'ENT entered into this 19th day of November 19 ,
by and between the County of as party of the first part,
and THE STATE HIGHWAY COI°)CSSYON. LORADO, .,public corporation, for the use and
benefit of the DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS bf the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second
part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, the Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction of, a project known as Project okI

WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the Parties
have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the the of construction for
said Project and have agreed as follows:
That the 19gy Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
establis ed practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
nis vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
desig atea as Type � of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952 more

Bridges and Separations shall
have a design load of . Those structures having a length less than
sixty (f0) feet shall have a clear roadway width, between curbs or wheelguards of
feet, and those having a length of sixty (60) feet and over shall
have a clear roadway width of feet. The funds allocated in the
4.00 Department of Highways udget is for the phase of the
stage construction, which is specified as only.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Forties thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf of
the County by virtue of a resolution Massed at the meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners held on Tuesday, November 19, 1957 , a certified copy. of
which is attached hereto.
