RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING PROBABLE CAUSE HEARING - JUDY OAKLEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1988, the Board approved Use by Special Review Permit
1!828 for a dog kennel to be operated by Judy Oakley, and
WHEREAS, Condition of Approval #6 states that the kennel shall be completed
by December 1, 1988, and
WHEREAS,the Department of Planning Services has initiated ZCH-70 to compel
compliance of the Use by Special Review, and
WHEREAS, on September 9, 1991, a Probable Cause Hearing was held to
determine whether or not there is sufficient violation to schedule a Show Cause
Hearing, and
WHEREAS, said Probable Cause Hearing was continued to October 2, 1991 at
9:00 a.m. to allow time for staff to assist the owner in completion of a work
plan suitable to both parties, and
WHEREAS, on October 2, 1991, said Probable Cause Hearing was held to
determine whether or not progress has been made in the completion of a work plan
suitable to both parties, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to continue said
Probable Cause Hearing to December 4, 1991 at 9:00 a.m. to allow time for
progress to be made in the completion of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that this matter be, and hereby is, continued to December 4,
1991, at 9:00 a.m.

WES POTTER AND I MET WITH JUDY OAKLEY TODAY. SHE SAID THE CISTERN SHE HAS
INSTALLED IS 500 GALLONS. A BUILDING INSPECTION NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULED. SHE DID
NOT APPLY FOR A BUILDING PERMIT. WE DISCUSSED HER CURRENT BUILDING PLANS AS
OPPOSED TO WHAT HAS BEEN APPROVED. I ASKED FORA LETTER ASKING IF HER PLANS ARE
A MAJOR CHANGE TO WHAT WAS APPROVED WITH USR-828.
SHE MENTIONED THAT SHE HAS CONTACTED THE SALVATION ARMY AND SHE MAY BE ABLE TO
PAY SOME PEOPLE $25.00 PER DAY TO HELP ERECT THE KENNEL BUILDING. WE DISCUSSED
THE KENNEL REGULATIONS REQUIREMENTS.
