WATROUS '5'4/E N CHIEF ENGINEER DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS PLANNING AND RESEARCH DIVISION 831 - 14th St.—Room 200 DENVER 2, COLORADO June 4, 1952 Board of County Commissioners Weld County Greeley, Colorado Gentlemen: In connection with the State Highway routings in Weld County, we are enclosing, herewith, one (1) copy of Resolutions Nos. 23-C and 39-C, approved May 19, 1952, together with portions of the Weld County map, upon which has been indicated, in color, the additions and deletions to the State Highway System resulting therefrom. These resolutions are forwarded for your information and file. If it is the desire of your board that the abandoned portion should remain public highway, your board should adopt the necessary resolution to add it to your county system as the 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 143, Paragraph 112 states that the right-of-way of all abandoned portions of a state highway shall revert to the adjacent property owners, unless the abandoned portion is necessary for use as a public highway and a resolution so stating is adopted by the county board of commissioners within ninety days of their abandonment as part of the State Highway System. No. 39-C Approved May 19, 1952 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED, that a county road in Weld County described as follows: Beginning at junction with present designated State Highway No. 254 at the Boulder-Weld County line, thence extend- ing in an easterly direction to a junc- ' tion with State Highway No. 185, be declared a part of the State Highway System, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that present designated State Highway No. 254, from its junction with a local road at the Boulder—Weld County line, thence extending southerly and easterly via Rinn to its junction with State Highway No. 185, be abandoned as a part of the State Highway System.
