RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF JOHN PICKLE AS ACTING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND
MARK WALLACE, M.D. , AS PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER FOR WELD COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of Randy Gordon, M.D. , a vacancy exists in
the position of Director of Public Health and Public Health Officer, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint John Pickle as Acting
Director of Public Health, until such time as the selection and recruitment
process for said position is complete, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Mark Wallace, M.D. , as
Public Health Officer for Weld County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that John Pickle be, and hereby is, appointed as Acting
Director of Public Health, effective August 18, 1993.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mark Wallace, M.D. , be, and hereby is,
appointed as Public Health Officer for Weld County, effective August 18, 1993.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of August, A.D. , 1993.
