RE: RATIFY APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE WELD LIBRARY
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld Library District has been created by action of six municipalities, Weld
County School District RE-8, and the County of Weld, all of the State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to CRS, Section 24-90-110(4)(a), the selection committee for the
Weld Library District Board of Trustees has been appointed and has recommended the following
persons for appointment to the Weld Library District Board of Trustees:
Rosalie M. Martinez - term to expire December 31, 2000
Nancy J. Griffith-Conklin -term to expire December 31, 2000
WHEREAS,the above named persons appear to be qualified to serve as members of the
Board of Trustees and represent adequately the various interests within the Weld Library District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the appointments of Rosalie M. Martinez, and Nancy J. Griffith-Conklin to
the Weld Library District Board of Trustees be, and hereby are, ratified.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 9th day of November, A.D., 1994.

Dear Mr. Webster:
In accordance with the state law a nominating committee, composed
of two members from each creating jurisdiction, must select
library district board members and then each jurisdiction must
ratify the selection by resolution. The nominating committee for
the Weld Library District met on October 31, 1994, and selected
the following persons:
Rosalie M. Martinez to serve a term of five years. Term to
expire December 31, 2000 .
Nancy J. Griffith-Conklin to serve a term of five years.
Term to expire December 31 , 2000.
Since it is necessary for all member jurisdictions to ratify the
nomination of the committee a sample resolution for your
municipality is provided. You are encouraged to consider the
resolution as soon as possible so the Library District is not
without full representation on the Board. Our next regular
meeting is November 28, 1994. A copy of your resolution should
be sent to me at the above address once acted upon by your Board.
