RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF ANN GARRISON TO WELD COUNTY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the Weld County Municipal Airport
Authority, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Ann Garrison be appointed to said
authority, to replace J. L. "Bud" Johnson as the joint representative, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Ann Garrison to said
authority, with her term to expire September 3, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Ann Garrison be, and hereby is, appointed to the Weld
County Municipal Airport Authority, with her term to expire September 3, 1996.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following/vote on the 16th day of September, A.D. , 1992.

Dear Commissioners:
On September 17, 1992, during the regular session of the monthly meeting of
the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority, a vote was conducted in order
to submit a potential candidate's name for consideration to fill the currently
vacant "at large" position on the Airport Authority Board of Commissioners .
During this meeting, it also came to the attention of the Authority that a
"city-appointed" position on the Airport Board shall be vacated as of
September 25, 1992, with the change in residence of current member Mr. Ed Huber.
The Airport Authority's previous recommendation of candidate Ann Garrison
for the "at large" position is believed to be a very strong and respectable
choice, as we believe that she has much to offer this facility and the community.
Ms . Garrison is quite willing to extend her consideration as a candidate
for service upon the Airport Board. Ms. Garrison is not however, a resident
of the city of Greeley, but does reside in Weld County -- making her eligible
for the current "at large" position, but ineligible for the upcoming "city-
appointed" vacancy created by Mr. Huber.
It is the position of the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority that Ms. Garrison
shall truly prove to be an asset to this Board, and we hereby request and
endorse reconsideration of Ms . Garrison's appointment to the Greeley-Weld
County Airport Authority. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.
