RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT FIRST PROGRAM INTRA-GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
WITH THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN
TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Employment
First Program Intra-Governmental Agreement between the Weld County Department of
Human Resources and the Weld County Department of Social Services, commencing
December 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994, with further terms and conditions
being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the
Employment First Program Intra-Governmental Agreement between the Weld County
Department of Human Resources and the Weld County Department of Social Services
be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of January, A.D. , 1994, nunc pro
tunc December 1, 1993.

AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT NO: FY93-EF-2003
AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT
FIRST PROGRAM INTRA-GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND
WELD COUNTY DIVISION OF HUMAN RESOURCES
This Amendment modification made and entered into this 29th day of
December, 1993, by and between the Weld County Department of Social Services,
hereinafter referred to as "Social Services," and the Weld County Division of
Human Resources, on behalf of the Employment Services of Weld County,
hereinafter referred to as "Employment Services."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current contract for
Employment and Training Services (FY93-EF-2003) in order to increase in-kind
funding; and
WHEREAS, the authority exists in the Law and Employment First funds
have been budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance, and coordination has been
accomplished from and with appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto
covenant and agree as follows:
1. This Amendment shall be effective December 1, 1993.
2. Provision 7. In-Kind Match shall be revised as follows:
Employment Services agrees to provide to Social Services a total
of Twenty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-Seven Dollars and
Zero Cents ($29,997.00) in 100% local in-kind in the form of
operating and personnel costs.
Employment Services agrees to submit the specific forms, provided
by Social Services, for billing and in-kind documentation. All
in-kind match, totalling a minimum of Twenty-Nine Thousand Nine
Hundred and Ninety Seven and Zero Cents ($29,997.00) and its
appropriate documentation must be provided to and received by
Social Services no later than June 30, 1994.

3. Provision 8. Client Participation Goals for the Project shall be
revised to add the following components:

4. Except as modified herein, the terms and conditions of the
original Agreement (FY93-EF-2003, and modification to FY93-EF-
2003) , together with all attachments of the original Agreement,
remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed the
Modification as of the day, month, and year first above written.

Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to the Employment First Program
Intra-Governmental Agreement between Weld County Department of Social
Services and Weld County Division of Human Resources.
The purpose of the Amendment is to increase the program operation costs of
$16,479.00 to $29,997.00 of 100% in-kind dollars. The total Employment First
costs will not exceed $116, 760.00. The in-kind increase will be used to
enhance the Employment First program by expanding components for literacy,
competencies, GED, and other program options.
