Gentlemen:
Mr. S. Robert Houtchens referred to me a letter from
Pacific i'utual Life Insurance Company on Public Law 85-836
and asked me to advise you if it applied to the Welfare
Department of Weld County.
The U. S. Department of Labor pamphlet also forwarded
to me states that "The Act does not apply to: (2) flans
administered by the Federal Government or by State govern-
ments, by political subdivisions of a State, or by an agency
or instrumentality of any of the foregoing" therefore, it is
my opinion the Welfare Department of We]d County does not
need to comply with this act.
