Conference calls may be arranged between 5 stations or 3 stations and 2 central office trunks. h. Calls: (1) Incoming, handled by switchboard operator. (2) All intercom calls handled by the dial switching equipment. (3) Outside local calls handled by the dial switching equipment with the exception of those stations that are denied outside service. i. Switchboard operator handles slightly more than 1/3 of all calls thru the system. 3. Operation a. Intercommunication: (1) Station dials number of desired station. (2) Call is completed automatically through the dial switching equipment. b. Outside Local: (1) Stations restricted to this service. Station dials "0" for switchboard, and the operator either dials the number or permits the station do the dialing. (2) Stations allowed outside service. Station dials "9" to obtain an outside line and then dials the number desired. c. Long Distance: (1) Stations restricted to this service. Station dials "0" for the switchboard operator, who completes the call. (2) Stations allowed long listance service. Station dials "9" to obtain an outside line and then dials "0" for the Telephone Company Operator. d. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the installation of said system by the Company, the Customer agrees that the system installed initially (not including trunks and standard station equipment), as well as any subsequent additions thereto of items of equipment, associated therewith, for which, under the tariffs of the Company, the initial contract period is specified as the same as that of said system, will be retained at the above location for an Initial contract period of ..._.5-..Years from and after the installation of said system or items. The customer further agrees to comply with the regulations of the Company pertaining to cancellation of application for service should the application for said system be cancelled prior to installation but after costs, in connection with the installation, have been incurred. If, prior to the expiration of said contract period the Customer whether voluntarily or otherwise, terminates this contract, or disconnects items of equipment subject to the initial contract period, specified herein, there will become immediately due and payable by the Customer to the Company as reimbursement for the cost of installing and removing the system,or items of equipment,plus loss (if any) on account of power plant a termination charge in an amount equivalent to Eifth. per cent of the total of the regular rates and charges then in effect for said system, or items of equipment,which would have been paid during the unexpired portion of the original contract period had the contract, or items contracted for, as the case may be, not been terminated. If the Customer requests the disconnection of items of equipment associated with said system, installed subsequent to the original installation, and subject to the initial contract period herein specified, termination charges shall be computed on the basis that the equipment disconnected shall be deemed to be the last of its kind installed. Failure by the Customer to pay any monthly payments for service for said system when due shall, at the option of the Company, be construed to be a termination of the contract hereunder. The Customer agrees to comply with, and abide by the rules and regulations of the Company as now existing or hereafter amended. Switchboard Location The switchboard dimensions are approximately 2'6" in width and 2'6" in depth. If the switchboard is to be placed in an operating room, the minimum size should be at least V x 7'. (See Pages 6 and 7) 2. Dial Switching Equipment Location The equipment room should be a dust free area 8' x 12' with an 8'6" ceiling. The room should be equipped with a filter in a fan for ventilation purposes. (See Pages 13 and 14) 3. The over-all installation requires a maxima-n of 365 days from the day the serTi-e is ordered. A large portion of the time above will be consumed in wiring the equipment as each automatic dial switchboard is engineered individually.
