RE: ZONING OF KEOTA, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on February 19, 1991, the Colorado Secretary of State declared
that the Town of Keota, Colorado, was officially abandoned pursuant to the
provisions of Section 31-3-201, CRS, and
WHEREAS, a consequence of the abandonment is that the entire area included
within the boundaries of Keota, Colorado, is now within the unincorporated area
of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the area within the boundaries of Keota, Colorado, now must be
zoned in order to comply with the Weld County Zoning Map and the Weld County
Zoning Ordinance, Weld County Ordinance No. 89, as amended, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it necessary to direct the
Weld County Department of Planning and Zoning to zone Keota appropriately.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Department of Planning and Zoning be, and
hereby is, directed to zone the area within the former boundaries of Keota,
Colorado, in accordance with the Weld County Zoning Map and the Weld County
Zoning Ordinance, Weld County Ordinance No. 89, as amended.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of April, A.D. , 1991.

Subject: Z-460 - Request for zoning for the unincorporated Town of Keota
to A (Agricultural) on a parcel of land described as part. of
Section 34, T9N, R60W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado.
Dear Mr. Lacy:
Your application and related materials for the request described above are
complete and in order at the present time. I have scheduled a meeting with
the Weld County Planning Commission for June 18 , 1991, at 1: 30 p.m. This
meeting will take place in the County Commissioners' Hearing Room, first
floor, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
A Department of Planning Services' staff member will be in attendance: to
answer any questions the Planning Commission members will have with respect
to your application.
