RE: CLOSURE OF ALL WELD COUNTY ROADS ON MONDAY, MARCH 9, 1992
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the evening of Sunday, March 8, 1992, Weld County experienced
a major snow storm and blizzard which created major snow drifts and made all Weld
County roads impassible, and
WHEREAS, said snow storm continued into the early morning of March 9, 1992,
and,
WHEREAS, Weld County Road and Bridge crews were out early on March 9, 1992;
however, they were, and still are in many cases, unable to open many, if not all,
Weld County roads.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld
County, Colorado, that on Monday, March 9, 1992, an emergency situation did exist
wherein the health, safety, and welfare of the inhabitants of Weld County,
Colorado were best served by the closure of all Weld County roads.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all Weld County roads were considered closed
as of 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 1992, and are considered to be opened as of
8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 1992.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of March, A. D. , 1992, nunc pro
tunc March 9, 1992.
