RE: Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment of
Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board
Dear Sirs:
Enclosed are several documents regarding the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone
Service Authority Board. These documents include the following:
A. Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment of the Weld
911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board, dated November
4, 1987.
B. Memorandum of Understanding concerning Intergovernmental
Agreement, dated May 23, 1988.
c. Proposed Approval for Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement.
At its meeting on July 21, 1992 , the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service
Authority Board ( "Authority Board") decided to seek approval for an
amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement in order to affectuate the
desired reduction of Authority Board members from seven to five. The
Authority Board asked the County Attorney to draft an amendment to be
sent to all participating agencies for approval.
On August 25, 1992, the Authority Board reviewed the enclosed approval
form. Concern was expressed about the work involved in sending the
approval to all 48 entities and the follow-up in receiving the approvals
back. The Authority Board then decided to approach both the Greeley City
Council and the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County to determine
whether the two entities were still interested in seeking the amendment
of the Intergovernmental Agreement according to the terms set forth in
the Memorandum of Understanding. Board members expressed the thought
that it does not make sense for the Authority Board to expend the time
and effort necessary to seek the approval of the amendment if the two
entities are not still in agreement on the issue of reducing the Board
membership from seven to five.

We ask that your governmental entity respond by October 19, 1992 as to
whether it wishes to approve the amendment to the Intergovernmental
Agreement. If so, please sign the approval form and send same to: Lin
Dodge, Secretary, Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board,
915 10th St. , Greeley, CO 80631. Please consider the approval form as
soon as possible so that the Authority Board may continue with the
amendment process if the desire still remains.

RE : Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment
of the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board
Dear Mr. Sandau:
On September 28, 1992, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado considered the Approval for Amendment to
Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment of Weld 911
Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board which accompanied your
September 15, 1992 letter.
The Board of County Commissioners wishes to wait to decide whether
or not to sign the Approval until after the 47 other entities have
considered and approved the same. Therefore, the Board
respectfully requests that you resubmit the Approval to the Board
after the other parties to the original Agreement have responded.
