MINED LAND WILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUATION(Revised)
for limited impact and select regular mine applications
The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Mined Land
Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining permit for:
• Bestway Paving,Westmoor Resources Site File # M-93-005; Sec 36, T6N, R66W, 6thPM,F
Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal)
Wildlife Species list:
songbirds, fox, small rodents, raptors, one bald eagle
Endangered/critical species/impacted: possibly bald eagle, uses large trees in that area.
Critical habitats/vegetative communities' impacted: None with possilbe exception of
leaving large trees for raptor use,
Assessment of impact:
minimal impact particularly if trees are left.
Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration
is designed).
Leave any large trees for raptor/eagle use. If ponds are created make
banks no less than 3 to 1 pitch. If residential is planned: leave large trees.

RE: Bestway Paving, Westmoor Resources Site, File No. M-93-005
Please be advised that Bestway Paving, whose address and telephone number are
P.O. Box 3189, Greeley, CO 80633, (303) 353-1654, has filed an application to
conduct surface mining and reclamation, at or near Section 36, Township 6N,
Range 66W, 6th Prime Meridian in Weld County. The application decision is
scheduled for March 3, 1993.
Copies of the application are available for review at the Weld County Clerk &
Recorder' s office and at the office of the Division of Minerals and Geology,
Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203.
All comments or objections must be submitted in writing and received by the
Division no later than 10 days after the applicant' s newspaper publication in
• order to be considered in the application review process .

the Mined Land Reclamation Board, the attached notice is being sent
to you in order to inform you of the application of Bestway Paving,
Westmoor Site to mine sand and gravel at SW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section
36, T6N, R66W, of the 6th p.m. , Weld County, Colorado.
Should you wish to obtain additional information regarding the
project, you may contact any of the individuals indicated in the
notice or Terry Keane.
Written responses must be forwarded to the Mined Land
Reclamation Division by February 8, 1993 .

PUBLIC NOTICE
Bestway Paving Co. , 131 N. 35th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80633 has
filed an application for a Mining and Reclamation permit with the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The proposed operation is
located at: SW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 36, T6N, R66W, of the 6th
p.m. , Weld County, Colorado.
The proposed date of commencement is March, 1993 and the
proposed date of completion is December, 1994 . The proposed future
use of the land will be a lake and grassland. Additional
information and tentative hearing date may be obtained from the
Mined Land Reclamation Board; Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street;
Denver, Colorado 80203, (303 ) 866-3567 , or Weld County Clerk and
Recorder, 915 Tenth Street, Greeley, CO 80632 or the above named
applicant.
Written comments must be filed with the Mined Land Reclamation
Board by 5 : 00 on February 8, 1993 .
