OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR WELD COUNTY LIBRARY:
WHEREAS, S. Robert Houtchens has submitted his resignation as a Trustee
of the Weld County Library Board of Trustees, and
WHEREAS, S. Robert Houtchens was appointed by this Board as a Trustee of
the Board of Trustees for the Weld County Library on October 21, 1953, to fill the
unexpired term of John D. Edminston to hold office until May 1, 1955, and was re-
appointed on May 11, 1955, to hold office until May 1, 1960, and
WHEREAS, S. Robert Houtchens has served continuously on this Board with
distinction and at a great sacrifice to himself in time and money and by his wise
counsel and practical experience and training has co$tributed greatly by his public
service to the community and to the county in the operation of the Weld County Library.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, express deep appreciation to Mr. Houtchens for his great and unselfish
services and accept his resignation, effective immediately.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following votes

Gentlemen:
I herewith submit my resignation as a member of
the Weld County Library Board.
It is necessary for me to resign due to the fact
that I am now employed by you as County Attorney and it
may be that at some future date some conflict would arise
in serving in the capacity as member of the Board of the
Weld County Library and as County Attorney and in order
to obviate any such conflict, this action in my opinion
is necessary.
