RE: CARBON VALLEY LIBRARY PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, in 1988, Weld County constructed a library facility in Frederick,
Colorado, known as the Carbon Valley Library Building, and
WHEREAS, also in 1988, the Weld Library District entered into a
lease-purchase agreement with the County of Weld, to acquire said facility, and
WHEREAS, in 1992, the Weld Library District completed all lease-purchase
payments for the above facility, and
WHEREAS, upon final payment in 1992, the ownership of the abovementioned
facility passed to the Weld Library District, but the building will remain titled
in Weld County's name since it is on County property, and it is insured by Weld
County, and
WHEREAS, the Weld Library Board has requested a resolution to record the
above arrangement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, hereby declares the receipt of payment in full for the
facility located in Frederick, Colorado, known as the Carbon Valley Library.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ownership be, and hereby is, transferred
to the Weld Library District; however, the building will remain titled in Weld
County's name and insured by Weld County as long as the Weld Library District
desires.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of June, A.D. , 1993.
