HomeMy WebLinkAbout920157.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE GRANT AWARD FOR TITLE IV-A TRAINING FUNDS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Notification of Grant Award of Fiscal Year 1991-92 Title IV-A Training Funds between the Weld County Area Agency on Aging and the State Aging Division, with the further terms and conditions being as stated in said grant, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Notification of Grant Award of Fiscal Year 1991-92 Title IV-A Training Funds be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said grant. Box 1805 Greeley, CO 80632 Dear Ms. Piper: This letter constitutes a Notification of Grant Award of FY 1991-92 Title IV-A Training GranM08AT0075/01) Federal funds in the amount of $1,231 covering the period May 1, 199,2etb March 30, 1992. This award is designated to support a one-day training on "Development of Volunteer Leadership" for advisory groups to the area agencies in the Northeastern region. Please note the following conditions: • This award is made for the period and the amounts stated above and is subject to and contingent upon the continuing availability of Federal funds for the purposes of the award. • The State Agency will reimburse actual expenses until grant funds are expended based upon receipt of an expenditure report from grantee. Allowable costs are costs for in-state travel including costs associated with attendance at training courses; costs in obtaining developmental assistance and cost of publication and distribution of materials developed in connection with the activities for which funds are provided. • The project's fiscal affairs are subject to audit. If costs are disallowed, the proportion of Federal funds disallowed must be returned to the State Agency. • This grant in no way implies further funding which is contingent upon the approval of future applications. Also enclosed please find the following forms which are to be used for reporting during this grant period: 1. AAS IV-A -"Final Financial Report" This form must be completed and submitted to Lu Homer,AAS office by March 30, 1992. 2. Speckman, Executive Director, Human Resources 11J!C,L subject: Notification of Grant Award for Title IV-A Training Grant Enclosed for Board approval is a Notification of Grant Award of FY 1991-92 Title IV-A Training funds in the amount $1,231 covering the period of May ]l, 1991 to March 30, 1992. This award is designated to support a one-day training on "Development of Volunteer Leadership" for advisory groups to the Area Agencies in the Northeast Region. Area Agencies included in this training are Weld, Larimer, Boulder, Denver, Morgan and surrounding counties, and Lincoln and surrounding counties. A one day training for advisory board members from these regions is planned for March 11, 1992. The Weld Area Agency on Aging is acting as the recipient of these training monies on behalf of the Northeast Area Agencies on Aging and will be responsible for reimbursement of expenses and a final report to the State Aging Division.
