RE: DENY EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE TO KILROY COMPANY OF
TEXAS , INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado, is the holder of a certain
Oil and Gas Lease currently held by Kilroy Company of Texas, Inc. ,
which will expire December 29 , 1990 , and
WHEREAS, said lease covers land more particularly described
as follows:
Section 24 : Ni , Township 5 North, Range 61
West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS, Edward J. Cronin, on behalf of the Kilroy Company of
Texas , Inc. , has submitted a request that the Board of County
Commissioners grant an extension of said Oil and Gas Lease, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to deny the request to
extend said Oil and Gas Lease with Kilroy Company of Texas, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the extension of the
Oil and Gas Lease with Kilroy Company of Texas , Inc. , on the
hereinabove described parcel be, and hereby is, denied.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
August, A.D. , 1990 .

Additional Request for Extension of Time
sub;em Kilroy Company - Sublessee Lomita
In October of 1989 , this Board granted a one year extension on the
lease in the Ni , T5N, R61W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado,
to Kilroy Company. To date, the lease has not been drilled.
Kilroy' s partner, Lomita, plans , first, to drill a well in Morgan
County and then evaluate that well before deciding whether to
proceed on our lease. Mr. Cronin has requested an additional 6
months on the lease and offers $5. 00 per acre bonus and $ .50 per
acre delay rental for the request.
I am proposing to place this on the Agenda on August 1 , 1990.
Attached is the previous extension along with your policy of
August 28 , 1985 . Please advise if placing on the agenda is
satisfactory.

On 'August 29, 1985, the Board of County Commissioners adopted, the following

1. No lease 'term will be extended for more than six "(6) months from .
