RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING INCREASING SPEED LIMIT ALONG EAST 16TH STREET
FROM ASH AVENUE TO FERN AVENUE FROM 30 MPH TO 40 MPH
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineering Department has recommended to the
Board that the speed limit along East 16th Street from Ash Avenue to Fern Avenue
be increased from 30 mph to 40 mph, and
WHEREAS, the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to May 4,
1992, to allow the Engineering staff time for further investigation as to the
necessity of said increase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Department of Engineering be, and hereby is, directed
to investigate the need for increasing the speed limit along East 16th Street
from Ash Avenue to Fern Avenue from 30 mph to 40 mph.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said matter be, and hereby is,
continued to May 4, 1992, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 13th day of April, A.D. , 1992.
