(no BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD o U COUNTY, COLORADO: � O o WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, w Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home o o Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the ow affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and hW a WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has the power and o authority under the Weld County Home Rule Charter and Article 28 w of Title 30 , CRS, to adopt building codes for the unincorporated a areas of the County o£ Weld, and x WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, w Colorado, adopted Ordinance No. 119 , Weld County Building Code o v Ordinance, establishing a comprehensive revision of the building code requirements for the unincorporated areas of the County of o H Weld, and has adopted amendments in Ordinances 119-A through o H 119-F, and o � WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 119 , as amended, is in need of N revision, updating, and clarification with regard to procedures , Ln ▪ w terms, and requirements therein. N Z NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County o Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that said Ordinance No. • 119 , as amended, is amended by the addition and revision of a various sections, which shall read as follows: CO 0 n LO N CO c ADD NEW SECTION 20 .1 . 3 to read: fi rti 20. 1 .3 Section 1707 . (d) of the Uniform Building Code is amended by the addition of this sentence, "Approved methods shall include the removal of metal wall ties from the exterior of foundation walls and the holes sealed. The Board of County Commissioners hereby declares that it would have passed the Ordinance, and each and every section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause and phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections , paragraphs, sentences, clauses, or phrases might be declared to be unconstitutional and invalid. Chuck Cunliffe, Director of the Department of Planning Services, made the proposed amendments of record. Be it Resolved by the Weld County Planning Commission the proposed amendments to Sections 20. 1.3, 20.3, 20.3.1, and 30.2.9 of the Weld County Building Code Ordinance be approved. The proposed amendments will clarify the requirements for dampproofing foundation walls with metal wall ties, incorporate by reference the 1990 National Electrical Code with only one change to the text concerning concrete-encased electrodes, and clarify the building permit requirements for mobile homes no longer meeting the definition of mobile home in the Weld County Zoning Ordinance. The Weld County Building Trades Advisory Committee reviewed the proposed amendments and recommended approval of them on April 19, 1990. Motion seconded by Judy Yamaguchi. Motion seconded by LeAnn Reid. The Chairman called for discussion from the members of the Planning Commission. Discussion followed. The Chairman asked the secretary to poll the members of the Planning Commission for their decision. ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: Chuck Cunliffe asked the Planning Commission to consider amendments to Sections 20. 1 .3, 20.3, 20.3.1, and 30.2.9 of the Weld County Building Code Ordinance. The proposed amendments will clarify the requirements for dampproofing foundation walls with metal wall ties, incorporate by reference the 1990 National Electrical Coda with only one change to the text concerning concrete—encased electrodes, and clarify the building permit requirements for mobile homes no longer meeting the definition of mobile home in the Weld County Zoning Ordinance. The Weld County Building Trades Advisory Committee reviewed the proposed amendments and recommended approval of them on April 19, 1990.
