RE: APPROVE DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZE PURCHASING
DEPARTMENT TO SOLICIT BIDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that
all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the property to be declared as surplus is located in the SW4 of Section
31, Township 1 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, being
more fully described in the attached Exhibit "A" , a copy of said Exhibit being
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare such property as surplus and
authorize the Purchasing Department to solicit bids for said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the hereinabove described property, as more fully described
in the attached Exhibit "A" be, and hereby is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of General Services is
hereby directed to solicit bids on said property.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of January, A.D. , 1991.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION •

Two parcels of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of Section 31, Township 1
North, Range 67 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Weld County, Colorado, each
` being more particularly described as follows:
Considering the West line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of said Section 31 to
bear North 00° 00' 00" East and with all other bearings contained herein relative
thereto:
PARCEL NO. 1
Beginning at the southwest corner of said Section 31;
Thence ,North 00° 00 ' 00" West along the West line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4)
of said Section 31; 957.54 feet to the westerly Right-of-'day line of the Union
Pacific Railway Company, said Right-of-Way line being 75.00 feet westerly as measured
at right angles to, the centerline of the existing tracks;
Thence South 05° 30' 00" East along said westerly Right-of-Flay line 962.14 feet to
the South line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of said Section 31;
Thence North 89° 54' 00" West along the South line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4)
of said Section 31 a distance of 92.22 feet to the Point of Beginning:
Parcel. No. 1 contains 1.014 acres including existing public road rights-of-way as
shown.

Beginning at the point of intersection of the South line of the Southwest Quarter
(SW1/4) of said Section 31 with the easterly Right-of-Way line of the Union Pacific
Railway Company, said Right-of-Way line being, 75.00 feet easterly from as measured
at right angles to the centerline of the existing tracks , from which point the south-
west corner of said Section 31 bears !forth 89° 54 ' 00" West a distance of 242.94 feet;
Thence North 05° 30' 00" West along said easterly Right-of-Way line 2 ,534.64 feet to
its intersection with the West line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) cf said
Section 31;

Thence South 89° 47' 30" East 30.00 feet to the East Right-of-Way of the existing
County Road;
Thence South 00° 00' 00" East along said East Right-of-Way 8.55 feet;

Thence North 89° 54 ' 00" West along the South line of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4)
