RE: APPROVE REVISED SECTION 8 VOUCHER PAYMENT STANDARDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
provides authority for housing authorities to establish payment standards based
on local conditions, and
WHEREAS, at the Housing Authority Board meeting of August 24, 1992, the
Board failed to act on the Revised Section 8 Voucher Payment Standards, and
WHEREAS, at the Housing Authority Board meeting of September 28, 1992, the
Board was presented with a Revised Section 8 Voucher Payment Standards as
follows:
One Bedroom $375.00
Two Bedroom 450.00
Three Bedroom 550.00
Four Bedroom 625.00
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
standards, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Housing Authority Board, that the Revised Section
8 Voucher Payment Standards be, and hereby are, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following lea4e4
vote on the 28th day of September, A.D. , 1992.

Included in this memo for Board consideration are the revised Section 8
Payment Standards as discussed at the Work Session of August 17, 1992. The
Payment Standards are being revised to reflect the current rental market of
Weld County and are the same Voucher Payments Standards currently being
utilized by the Greeley Housing Authority. The U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development provides authority for housing authorities to establish
payment standards based on local conditions.
The Payment Standards, as adopted by the Board, would become effective upon
approval by the Board, and are as follows:

One Bedroom Two Bedroom Three Bedroom Four Bedroom

Request that the agenda item be placed on the agenda for consideration by the
Weld County Housing Authority Board.
