RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING CLOSURE/POST-CLOSURE PLAN FOR CENTRAL
WELD/GREELEY-MILLIKEN SANITARY LANDFILL - WASTE SERVICES CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Closure/Post-Closure Plan for
Central Weld/Greeley-Milliken Sanitary Landfill from Waste Services Corporation,
and
WHEREAS, said plan concerns property described as Part of the SEt SW* of
Section 32, Township 5 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on January 5, 1994, at which
time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to February 2, 1994,
to allow the Weld County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Health
adequate time to review said plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that this matter be, and hereby is, continued to February 2,
1994, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of January, A.D. , 1994.

HEARING CERTIFICATION
DOCKET NO. 94-01
RE: CLOSURE/POST-CLOSURE PLAN FOR CENTRAL WELD/GREELEY-MILLIKEN SANITARY
LANDFILL - WASTE SERVICES CORPORATION
A public hearing was conducted on January 5, 1994, at 10:00 A.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Chairman
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Greg Thompson
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 13, 1993, and
duly published December 23, 1993, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing
was conducted to consider a Closure/Post-Closure Plan for Central
Weld/Greeley-Milliken Sanitary Landfill submitted by Waste Services
Corporation. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter
of record. Greg Thompson, Planning Department representative, recommended
this matter be continued to February 2, 1994, to allow said plan to be
reviewed by the State and County Health Departments. Mr. Thompson
answered questions from the Board and stated the Planning Commission will
hear this matter on January 18, 1994. Mr. Morrison noted a letter was
received this morning from the State Health Department indicating the
Division has completed its review; however, the Division requests written
concurrence on its comments. After further discussion, Mr. Thompson
assured the Board that Gloria Dunn, Planning Department, indicated
February 2 would allow appropriate time, and Mr. Morrison also indicated
the review is close to being final. No public testimony was offered
concerning this matter. Commissioner Hall moved to continue the
Closure/Post-Closure Plan for Central Weld/Greeley-Milliken Sanitary
Landfill submitted by Waste Services Corporation to February 2, 1994, at
10:00 a.m. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion and requested the
neighborhood and Michael Hayes be notified of this continuance. The
motion carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 10th day of January, 1994.
