Commissioner Hewitt moved the adoption of the following resolution:
RESOLVED : That the Board of County Commissioners find it necessary that there should be estab-
lished and hereby determines that there be established a public road eighty ( 80 ) feet in width
running in a general course from the northwest corner of section 11 to the soutn quarter cor-
ner of section 10 , all in Township 5 N . Range 67 West of the 6th P . M . and more particularly
over the following described route , forty feet each side of the following center line .

Rider to be attached to lease dad ed March 16 , 1926 , between Union Pacific Railroad
Company ( Lessor and the County of Weld , Colorado , ( Lessee) , covering certain railroad premises
at La Salle , Colorado , for storage of road and bridge material .
1 . It is agreed that , effective August 1 , 1926 , the second papagraph of Section 2
of the above mention lease shall be , and is hereby , amended to read as follows :
"The Lessee covenants that the leased premises shall not be used
for any other purpose than for storage of road and bridge material and install-
ation of equipment and the storage of gasoline and oil for use only in connec-
tion with road construction and maintenance on the part of the Lessee an ' agrees
t .at if the Lessee abandons the leased premises , the Lessor may enter upon and
take possession of the same , and that a non-user for t e purpose mentioned ,
continuing; for thirty days , shall be sufficient and conclusive evidence of such
abandonment . "
2 . All of the terms , covenants and conditions of the above mentioned lease as herein
amended shall femain in full force and effect .

The report of C . A . Hewitt , Dan C . Straight , and F . L. Powars , viewers appointed to view
the following described line of road viz :
Commencing at the northwest corner of Sec 26-9-60 runningeast on the section line between 26 & 23 sections three
fourths ( 3/4 ) of a mile thence north 80 rods , thence east
80 rods to the section line between 23 & 24 sections .
The Board having carefully considered the report of the viewers herein , as well as the
objections made thereto , and finding the report correct as to form , and believing the public
good requires the abandonment of the road as recommended by the viewers , it was on motion
ordered that the report be approved and adopted , and the road therein described and recom-
mended by the viewers be and is hereby abandoned as a public highway.
The Clerk is directed to record the report , and cause notices to be posted of the aban •
-
donment of said road as required by law. The Board also ordered that the part of the road
to be abandoned , and recommended by the viewers to be abandoned , be and is hereby abandoned.

Commissioner Powars moved the adoption of the following resolution :
WE .FMS , The Public Utilities Commission of the State of Colorado has under consideration the
application of Weld county for construction of a Highway Underpass under the Union Pacific Rail-
road tracks about two and one quarter miles east of the town of Kersey , and has under consider J
ation the terms and conditions for the granting of said application; and the County desires
to obtain the construction of said underpass by the State Highway and Union Pacific Rat lroad
Company or by one of them; and
WHEREAS , the construction of said underpass and connection thereby of a State Highway from the
north line of Section 22 to a connection on the south line of Section 23 , Township 5 north Range
64 West of the 6th P . M. on a through route will be to the benefit of the County as well as of
travelers and of adjoining land owners , and will obviate the need of the present existing public
road crossing on grade over said railroad on the line between said Sections 22 and '' 3 , and will
obviate the need of any public road crossing on grade over said railroad on the west line of
said Section 22 ( but not the need for a private farm crossing on the west line of said Section
22 )
BE IT RESOLVED , that to induce the granting of said application by the Public Utilities Commis-
sion and to induce the construction of said undeppass , Weld County , Colorado , by its board of
County Commissioners , does hereby agree and request that the Public Utilities Commission shall
abolish the said road crossing over Union Pacific Railroad tracks about two miles east of er-
Bey between Sections 22 and 23 Township 5 North Range 64 Vilest of the 8th P . M . , and shall abolish
in so far as a public crossing is concerned ( but not as a private farm crossing1` the crossing
over said railroad tracks on the west side of said Section 22 , on the condition , and when said
proposed underpass ttio and one quarter miles east of Kersey shall have b nnen granted and construct-
ed , and a lease for right of way for a public road be granted the County by said Railroad sub-
stantially along the south side of its right of way from said underpass westerly to the west
line of said Section 23 .

D BOUNTY ON JACKRABBITS
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS , This county has been and is being invaded and overrun by jackrabbits to such 4
an extent as to be detrimental and constitute a menace to the property of our citizens : and ,
WHEREAS , By vittle of the provisions of Chapter 112 , Sessions Laws of Colorado , 192 ,
the board of county commissioners is authorized to offer a bounty for the destruction of jack-
rabbits and to take such other steps as it may deem expedient to accomplish such destruction ;
and ,
1,":1-1 RELS , The properly handled whole skin of the jackrabbit is of some commercial value
to dealers in such commodities , and it is probable that some person or persons , in exchtInge for
the title to and right of ownership of said skins , will reimburse this county for any bounty
paid by it , (. .nd may be willing als ) to pay an additional amount to the person claiming such
bounty.;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of ,'geld County,
Colorado , that this Board make the following offer , the acceptance of which shall constitute
an agreement :

That any person or persons , hereinafter referred to as Acceptor , who will create and
maintain a bounty fund , as hereinafter provided , from which this county may pay a bounty of teo
cents to the person presenting to the Clerk of this Board the whole skin of a jackrabbit killed
in this county and properly handled and dried in accordance with said Acceptor ' s instructions ,
shall be exclusively vested with the title to and ownership of each and all of said skins , and
such Acceptor shall have this exclusive privilege for a period of four years from this date ,
subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth , and subject to the right reserved by the County
to cancel this agreement any November First hereafter , upon sixty days prior notice .
That the Acceptor shall forthwith pay into the Treasury of this County the sum of
4250 . 00 , to be held and designated. by the County Treasurer as the jackrabbit bounty fund , and
only to be raid out by him as herein authorized ; and said Acceptor , as principal , shall aleo
deposit with said Treasurer his undertaking , with good and sufficient surety to be approved by
the Treas � sum of ` ' 2500 . , conditioned that during
ir �r , in the penal � 00the ensuing year he will
from time to time pay into said bounty fund a sufficient amount of monty to insure funds at
all times to warrant the payment of said bounties as herein specified ; provided that at any
time after November 1 , of any year the Acceptor shall be entitled to the return of any such
money then r emai nin' in said bounty fund .
That on or before the first day of November of each year hereaft"er the Acceptor shall
• present to the Treasurer a like undertaking as above in the penal sum of $2500 . 00 for the like
performance on his part for that ensuing year , and upon his failure so to do , this agreement
shall terminate .
The first written acceptance of this offer filed with the Cler ': of this Board of any
responsible person or persons , and the a, ment t o the 'Treasure
p�-�y � r of the sum above named , provided
said undertaking is presented to the Treasurer within five days thereafter , shall constitute
an exclusive constrict hereunder .
Upon such acceptance , the Clerk of this Board shall make public the fact that this county
will pay to any person a bounty of two cents per whole skin of jackrabbits killed in this county
and properlyi handled and dried in accordance with such Acceptorf s instructions ; and permission
is hereby given said Clerk , at the time of making public said bounty of_L er , to also make public
any additional offer per skin made by the Acceptor ; and said Clerk is likewise directed and
authorized to act in subsequent years in which the Acceptor has complied with the terms of this
offer ; and upon presentation of any such skin , the Clerk shall issue a warrant against said bounty
fand , to be paid by the Treasurer , and said Clerk shall by stamp or other effective device, mark

TION RESOLUTION
In compliance with an act of law entitled "An act to require the affairs of the sev-
eral Counties of this State to be conducted from the Revenue derived from taxation and prevent
other expense of any county from exceeding its Revenue" , the Board on motion unanimously passed
and adopted the following , viz :
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County , Colorado , that
there shall be appropriated from the Revenue of said County to defray the necessary expenses
and liabilities of said County for the next fiscal year the following sums , to-wit :

County Treasurer by the various Officials during the year 1927 , now estimated to be $65 ,000 . 00
be and the same are hereby appropriated for General County Purpose .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that all sundry collections made on account of patients and
other servides rendered by or through either and both of the Hospitals belonging to the County
for the year 1927 , now estimated to be $46 , 500 . 00 be and hereby are appropriated to the
" Support of the Poor Find" .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that any funds remaining in the hands of the Treasurer
at the close of business on December 31st , 1926 , be and hereby are re-appropriated in each
respective fund for the purposes of such funds for the next fiscal year .

"WHEREAS4 it has been certified to the Board of Counter Commissioners of Weld County ,
by the Board of Directors of the Greeley-Poudre. Irrigation District , that the sum of $210 , 000 . 00
is required to be levied for the purpose of paying the installment of principal which will be-
come due during the year 1927 , on the outstanding bonds of said district , and that the sum of
$62 , 190 , 00 is required to be levied for the purpose of paying interest which will become due
during the year 1927 , and on outstanding bonds of said District , and that to these amounts there
should be added the sum of 15% which the Board of County Commissioners is required to add to
cover delinquencies ; and ,
WHEREAS , the return from the Assessor of Weld County shows a total assessment and val -
uation for the purpose of said District , of the real estate included in said District , and
assessable for the purposes of said District , to be $734 , 513 . 00/
NOW , THERFORE, BE MT RESOLVED , by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Weld , State of Colorado , that 84 . 66 mills on the dollar of assessed valuation for irrigation
district purposes is hereby fixed as the rate of levy necessary for interest which will become
due in the year 1927 on the bonds of said District , and said rate of levy is increased 15%
making a levy of 97 . 35 mills on the dollar of valuation , and that a levy at said last mentioned
rate to raise the amount of money required to pay said interest be , and the same is hereby
made on all of the assessable real estate included in said District situate in said County of
Weld ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that 370 . 66 mills on the dollar of assessed valuation for
irrigation district purposes is hereby fixed at the rate of levy necessary for the installment

rate of levy is increased 15% making a levy of 426 . 15 mills on the dollar of valuation , and

the sum of e8 , 916 . 00 is required to be levied for the purpose of paying interest which will
become due in the year 1927 on the outstanding bonds of said District , and that the sum of
$47 , 392 . 00 is required to be levied for the purpose of paying the installment of principal
which will become due in the year 1927 on the outstanding bonds of said. District and that the
amount required to meet the maintenance , operating and current expenses of said District for the
fiscal year commencing on the 1st day of January , 1927 , is $1 . 35 for each acre of land assessed
in 1926 for the purposes of said District according to the valuation placed thereon for District

on the outstanding bonds of the District , and that the sum of $483 , 000 . 00 is required to be
levied for the purpose of paying the "installment of_ _priici pal which will become due during
the year 1927 on the outstanding ponds of saia District ; and that the amount required to meet
the maintenance , operating and current expenses $f atc ' District , for the fiscal year commenc-
ing on the first day of January , 1927 , is $2 . 50 for each acre of land of the District assessed

NOW , therefore , BE IT RESOLVED , that 215 . 02 mills on the Dollar of assessed valuation
for irrigation district purposes is hereby fixed as the rate of levy necessary for interest
which will become due during the year 1927 on the bonds of said District , and that a levy at
said rate of 215 . 02 mills on the dollar of valuation , to raise the amount of money required to
pay the interest which will become due during the year 1927 on the bonds of said District , be '
and the same is hereby made on all the assessable real estate included in said District situated
in said County of Weld , and on the 'request . ofthe Board of Directors of said District and the
Bondholders Committee of said District the 15% is omitted from said Levy.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that 1399 . mills on the Dollar of valuation for irrigation
district purposes is hereby fixed as the sate of levy necessary for the payment of the install-
ment of principal , which will become due during the year 1927 on the bonds of said District ,
and that a levy at said rate of 1399 . mills on the dollar of valuation , to raise the required
amount of money to pay said installment of principal of said bonds , be and the same is hereby
made on all assessable real estate included in said District , situated in said County of Weld ;
and on the request of the Board of Directors of said District and the bondholders Committee of
said District , the 15% is omitted from said levy ;" and ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the rate necessary to raise the amount required to meet
the maintenance , operatin , and current expenses of said District for yhe fiscal year commencing
on the first day of January , 1927 , as estimated by the Board of Directors of said District is
hereby fixed at $2 . 50 per acre of land assessed in 1926 for the purposes of said District , based
on the valuation of $10 . 00 per acre , including the 15% which the Board of County Commissioners
is required to add in making the levy for said expenses to cover delinquencies , and that a levy
for said expenses to cover delinquencies , and that a levy at said last mentioned rate , on each

of funds for the various purposes required by law , to meet the expenses and other charges
against the Riverside Irrigation District , for the year 1927 , to make the levy as follows :

"WHEREAS , it has been certified to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County ,
by the Board of Directors of the Green City Irrigation District , that the sum of $5324 . 00 is
required to meet the maintenance , operating , and current expenses of said District for the year
1927 , to which sum should be added 15% which is required to be added by the Board of County
Commissioners to cover delinquencies , making a total of $6122 . 60 .
WHEREAS , the returns from the Assessor of Weld County show a total assessment and val-
uation for the purpose of said District , of the real estate included in said District , and
assessable for the purpose of said District , to be $19 , 360 . 00 .
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the rate necessary to raise the amount re-
quired to meet the maintenance , operating , and current expenses of said District for the year
1927 , as estimated by the Board of Directors of said District , is hereby fixed at 275 mills on
the dollar of assessed valuation for irrigation district purposes , and said rate of levy is in-
creased 15% making a total of 316 . 25 mills on the dollar of valuation , and that s levy at the
last mentioned rate , to raise the amount of money required to pay said maintenance , operating ,
and current expense , be and the same is hereby made on all assessable regl estate included in
said District .

sum of $37 . 005 . 00 is required to be levied for the purpose of paying the interest which will
become due on April 5 , 1927 , and dune 1 , 1927 , and December 1 , 1927 , on the outstanding bonds
of said District and that the sum of $226 , 087 . 00 is required to be levied for the purpose of
paying the installment of principal which will become due on the 5th day of April , 1927 , on
the outstanding bonds of said District and that the amount required to meet the maintenance ,
operating, and current expenses of said District for the fiscal year commencing on the 1st
day of January , 1927 , is $2 . 15 for each acre of land assessed in 1926 for the purposes of said
District according to the valuation placed thereon for District purposes, including the 15%
which the Board of County Commissioners is required to add in making the levy for said expenses c,

WHEREAS , the returns firm the. Assessors of Weld and Adams Counties , Colorado , show
a total assessed valuation for the purposes of said District of the real estate included in
said District and assessable for the purposes of said District to be $311 , 440 .00 - the number
of acres assessable being 31 , 144 , assessed at the rate of $10 . 00 per acre ;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Weld , State of Colorado , that 118 . 81 mills on the dollar of assessed valuation for irrigation
district purposes is hereby fixed as the rate of levy necessary for interest which will become
due in the year 1927 on the bonds of said District and that said rate of levy is increased 1No
making a levy of 136 . 631 mills on the dollar of valuation and that a levy at said last mention-
ed rate , to raise the amount of money required to pay said interest , be , and the same is hereby
made on all of the assessable real estate included in said District situate in said County of

acre of land assessed in 1926 for the purposes of said District based on a valuation of
$10 . 00 per acre , including the 15% which the Board of County Commissioners is required to

RESOLUTION FOR SURRENDER OF
DEAD BODY TO STATE UNIVERSITY
MEDICAL SCHOOL
Ma County Commissioners being in session as the County Board of Health in charge of
the County Hospital and Pauper Burials , Commissioner Powars moved the adoption of the follow-
ing resolution:
WHEREAS , the body of Ejuino Lopez is now in the possbssion of the County through Roy
Satti ey , undertaker having the contract for burial of paupers , and said body has been dead
for more than two weeks , and no kindred or friend of said deceased has requested his body
for burial and he was a stranger who died before making himself known , and burial of his body
would be required to be at public expense :

In reply to your request for advice as to whether the Board of County Commissioners
can legally enter into a contract for paving Ninth Street along the north side of the County
Court House property .
It is my opinion that the Commissioners have such authority to bind the County for
construction of sidewalks alongside their property , construction of sewers connected with
their property , and also paving of streets alongside the county Property .

HOSPITAL
Commissioner Powars moved the adoption of the following resolution :
WHEREAS , the graduate nurses of the Greeley Hospital have furnished a room in said Hospital , and
ViHERE S , it is believed just that all graduate nurses be given rates for the use of said room
and operating room and for all other expenses incurred at the Greeley Hospital except for board ;
and
JHEREAS , it is believed just that all physicians receive a fifty percent discount on all hospi-
tal expenses except for nurses board and medical supplies which are to be furnis red at cost ;
BE IT RESOLV . , that all graduate nurses of the Greeley Hospital be charged ten dollars ( $10 . 00 )
per week for the use of the nurses room , that a fifty percent discount be riven them for the
use of the operatin room and all other expenses except for board and except for medical sup-
plies which will be furnished at cost .
DE IT FURTHER RESOLVET , that all physicians be given a fifty percent discount on all hospital
expenses except nurses board and medical supplies which will be furnished at cost .

Commissioner Hewitt moved the adoption of th n following resolution :
i;HEREAS , on Au Last 7 , 1924 , for the purpose of co-operating; in the re-habilitation of the Greeley
Poudre Irrigation District , and to encourage the formation of a re-organization company for
constructing; its works and settlin its debts , and the formation of a bond pool for adjustin its
bonded indebtedness , the Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution under which it gave
assurance of disposition to extend to actual land holders in said District the opportur it - to
purchase the interest of the County in tax sales certificates or lands in said District at a
teasonably early date and until the further order of the Board at the amount of the orininal tax
as it was certified by the County Assessor to the County Treasurer ; and
i ?E< S , by Liarch , l , 1927 , more than two and one half years will have elapsed since said reso -
lution and in the meantime such re-organizatio:: company has been formed , such bond pool has been
organizes , and made effective , and many land owners have taken advantage of the opportunity th zs
_ offered , r,L.nd ample time has been given it is now resolved that the assurances of said former
resolution are ':. i thdrawn and that after March 1 , 1927 , the County Till proceed to sell its in-
terest in all tax sales certificates for lands ir. said District and no loner hold open to the
