RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM THE WESTERN SUGAR COMPANY FOR PREADVERTISEMENT OF
SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from The Western Sugar Company
for preadvertisement of an application for a Special Review Permit for an
agricultural facility (storage of sugar beets) in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as part of the El El of Section 18,
Township 7 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said
request, with the hearing date to be set as August 11, 1993, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from The Western Sugar Company for
preadvertisement of an application for a Special Review Permit for an
agricultural facility (storage of sugar beets) in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as August 11, 1993, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of July, A.D. , 1993.

Marc Connelly, Agriculturist of The Western Sugar Company, has submitted
a request that the Special Review Permit application which will be heard
by the Planning Commission on August 3, 1993, be preadvertised. It has
been recommended a hearing before the Board be scheduled on August 11,
1993, at 10:00 a.m. If you wish to approve this request, the specified
date will allow adequate time for advertising.

Gentlemen:
Western Sugar requests .an early advertisement for public
hearing regarding our Special Review Permit: application.
The reason for this request is time is running short. The
Planning Commission will not review our application until
Aug. 3, and although we won' t need to start using the site
until Sept . 15 wµ need to prepare the site and put a scale
in. The concrete in the scale requires approximately 21
days to cure, and then the electronics for the scale have to
he: installed and the scale has to he certified.
As we have stated, time is of the essence, so we would
greatly cam:wee:tate consideration for an early advertisement
for public hearing.

NOTICE
Pursuant to the zoning laws of the State of Colorado and the Weld County Zoning
Ordinance, a public hearing will be held in the Chambers of the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th
Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado, at the time specified. All persons in
any manner interested in the Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review
Permit are requested to attend and may be heard.
Should the applicant or any interested party desire the presence of a court
reporter to make a record of the proceedings, in addition to the taped record
which will be kept during the hearing, the Clerk to the Board's Office shall be
advised in writing of such action at least five days prior to the hearing. The
cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting party.
BE IT ALSO KNOWN that the text and maps so certified by the Weld County Planning
Commission may be examined in the office of the Clerk to the Board of County
Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street,
Third Floor, Greeley, Colorado.
