Dear Mr. Lacy:
The City Council discussed the funding request for the airport
at its final meeting on the 1992 budget. The Council decided not
to appropriate or set aside funds for either the master plan
implementation or the fuel tanks for 1992 .
The Council's decision has nothing to do with the merits of
the request and should not be interpreted as a lack of support
for the airport. We believe the airport is very important to
the local economy and we intend to do our share to support
improvements at the airport.
We would like to see the master plan completed as soon as
possible and once that is approved by the City and County the
funding needs will be addressed.
