RE: FINAL BUDGET HEARING - 1991 BUDGET
A public hearing was conducted on December 10, 1990, at 9:30 A.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Gene R. Brantner, Chairman
Commissioner George Kennedy, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner C.W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy - Excused
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
County Attorney, Tom David
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 14, 1990, and
duly published November 21, 1990, in The New News, a public hearing was
conducted to receive written and oral comment from the public
concerning the proposed annual budget for fiscal year 1991 as contained
in the proposed budget. Don Warden, Director of Finance and
Administration, made this matter of record. Mr. Warden explained that
the proposed budget totals $70,023,477.00, with a mill levy of 22.209
mills. Mr. Warden said that a Resolution has been prepared adopting
the proposed budget, and he recommended approval of said Resolution.
Commissioner Kennedy moved to approve the Resolution adopting the
proposed budget for 1991. Commissioner Kirby seconded the motion, and
it carried unanimously. There was no public comment offered concerning
this matter. Mr. Warden read Emergency Ordinance #161, annual
appropriation for 1991, into the record. No public comment was
offered. Commissioner Kennedy moved to approve Ordinance #161 on an
emergency basis. Seconded by Commissioner Kirby, the motion carried
unanimously. Mr. Warden read Emergency Ordinance #162, setting the
1991 mill levy, into the record. No public comment was offered.
Commissioner Kennedy moved to approve Ordinance #162 on an emergency
basis. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirby, and it carried
unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 12th day of December, 1990.
