RE: ESTABLISH RESERVES IN FISCAL YEAR 1994 IN COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE X,
SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State Constitutional Amendment, Article X, Section 20, which passed on
November 3, 1992, allows for the establishment of emergency reserves, and
WHEREAS,the Director of Finance and Administration has recommended that reserves be
established in fiscal year 1994 in the amount of$2,000,000 for the future operation and capital needs
of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that reserves in the amount of $2,000,000 be, and hereby are, created as
provided by the State Constitutional Amendment, Article X, Section 20, for future operational and
capital needs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said reserves be designated in the following
fund.
FUND AMOUNT
Contingency Fund $2,000.000
TOTAL $2,000.000
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 14th day of December, A.D., 1994.
