RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL ESCOBAR, MANUEL ACOSTA, JR. , AND CAROLINA
MARTINEZ TO PLACEMENT ALTERNATIVES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Placement Alternatives
Commission, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Michael Escobar be appointed to
replace Paul Branham as the law enforcement representative, with a term to expire
December 31, 1993, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Manuel Acosta, Jr. be appointed to
replace John Kelly as a lay community representaive, with a term to expire
December 31, 1994, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Carolina Martinez be appointed to
replace Alma Linnebur as a health professional/foster parent, with a term to
expire December 31, 1994, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Michael Escobar, Manuel
Acosta, Jr. , and Carolina Martinez to the Placement Alternatives Commission,
with their terms to expire as listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Michael Escobar be, and hereby is, appointed to the
Placement Alternatives Commission, with his term to expire December 31, 1993.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Manuel Acosta, Jr. and Carolina
Martinez be, and hereby are, appointed to the Placement Alternatives Commission,
with their terms to expire December 31, 1994.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of May, A.D. , 1992.
