Dear Jirc:
In answer to your letter of 3-11-99 concerning the alleged ao:coapLonde with

the zoning Ordinance in the A

One of my purposes for purchasing' this property to have and
display interesting collectibles which I have done since 1968.
were considering opening to the public and the possible emp-
loyment of an to 100 people from the local area. However after
we 1Weld..gent presented that la' to the C1G County Planning DereeetTent
and the County gormissioners it was very clear that yoiz were
not interested in growth and. development in southern :e__ County.
Dow rather than a museum collection we will Call this ournon-
commercial junk, as you have insisted it is.
2. Commercial junkyard:
When I purchased this propert-- in 1968 I purchased it as an
airro'_t (which it had been since the 1930's) and sa-:=_e operation
it a s s ch for t:rcn ty-fivo e -

2. irrort:
Prior to my purchase of this property 1, myself paid to tie down
here and used the runway along with several others.
h. Visual screening:
This can't be comieted until we are issued the building permits
for which we paid in 1991 . We issued check #5011 in the amount of
.3350.50 on 8-27-91 and check #5052 in the amount of $112.50 on
11-18-91 for building permits in which to enclose our noncommercial
junk.
In the Weld County Colorado Zoning Ordinance of 6-11-91 on page
10-17 the definition for a "Noncommercial Junk Yard" is as follows:

page 2
An area where any waste, junk, or used or second hand materials
are stored or handled, including, but not limited to, scrap
iron and other metals, papers, rags, rubber tires, building
materials, and bottles. A Noncommercial Junk yard may also
include the storage or keeping of Derelict Vehicles. The
::oncomr_erc_a.l Junk yard shall be totally enclosed

properties and public rights-of-way,
In the past year we have built over 3,000 feet of fence. As you
can see we have done our share to screen our noncommercial junk.
i:ow you need to do yours by issuiae our permits. You issued part
of them and held up others which 1 don't understand as it seems
everyone wants our Noncommercial Junk inside. It seems that would
m ake everyone happy and the County ;c t ould ha e more ta.._ revel_.. --
revenue.
Also lso in the time you have held our money for. permits and have not
issued them we have had rain, snow and sun densr hail, flee to our
aircraft and other collectibles with dam-woes in the thousands of
dollars.

within the past two to five years) knowing there was an airport here and
at that time able to see my whole collection. Why did they move hereT

Why does del_ County give them free advice on hew to' r complain about us
(we have been told that has happened). Why don't „5 0 each
you charge them K

This all started over "Bungee Jumping" here which was stopped in Septerm-er
1991 then was allowed by the Town of Frederick to be opened directly across
the road from a large mobile home par_'. in Dacono where thousands of residents
live. We only have sip (6) adjoining andonlynine

has complained.

Three of our neighbors have received building permits for airplane hangers

are ours being held up?
If you want to close us down we tape it that you are interested in purchasing
our property. If so please let us knew your offer. We will expect it to be
in the multi millions.
Enclosed you will find a newspaper clipping- of a _'.S Supreme Court ruling
on 6-30-92 which sets a precedent for land harassment by government agencies.
We are sick and tired of the harassment we have received from the Weld County
Planing Dept. and would like to be left alone, however, if this continues
we fully intend to protect ol.a Constitutional _i htsu and hope that you
don't waste more ta_:payers money than you already have on such alleged
noncompliance.
We will be expecting to hear from you within five (5) days as to your
decision in this matter.

SUBJECT: C93-11, Property located in part of the SW4 of Section 25 , T2N, R68W of the
6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado.
Dear Mr. McDonald:
It has come to the attention of the Department of Planning Services' staff that the uses
on your property maaY g2t be consistent with the uses allowed by right in the A
(Agricultural) zone district as allowed by the Weld County Zoning Ordinance and the Weld
County Building Code . The alleged noncompliance with the Zoning Ordinance is as follows:
Recreational facility (museum) without proper County approvals .
Commercial junkyard (an area where any waste, junk, or used or secondhand
materials are bought, sold, exchanged, stored, bailed, packed, dismantled,
or handled) without proper zoning or proper County approvals .
Airport (hangar and aircraft tiedown rental - runway for takeoffs and
landings of aircraft, - aircraft owned by others are stored on the property
and use the airport) without proper County approvals .
Visual screening has not been completed for the outside storage areas .
Commercial uses of the property (hangar and aircraft tiedown rental, the
buying and selling of aircraft and auto parts) without proper zoning or
proper County permits.
The algid noncompliances with the building code are a portable T hangar constructed
without permits and three semi-trailers located on the property without proper building
permits or properly licensed.
Please call me within five working days of the date of this letter to review the concern
with me.
