RE: APPROVE EXTENSION OF TERMINATION DATE OF PRAIRIE VIEW PEST CONTROL
DISTRICT #9
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a petition was presented to the Board of County Commissioners
requesting the extension of the termination date of the Prairie View Pest Control
District #9, which expired December 31, 1992, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the Board on the 17th day of February,
1993, at or about 9:00 a.m. , concerning said request, and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the Board, after hearing the evidence
presented, that it is in the best interest of Weld County to extend the
termination date of Prairie View Pest Control District #9 to June 30, 1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that pursuant to Section 35-5-104(7) , CRS, the termination date
of the Prairie View Pest Control District #9 be, and hereby is, extended from
December 31, 1992 to June 30, 1993.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of February, A.D. , 1993.

Pursuant to Section 35-5-104(7) , Colorado Revised Statutes, as amended, notice
is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, on the 17th day of February, 1993, at
9:00 a.m. , in the First Floor Hearing Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, at which time the Board will hear evidence upon
the petition presented by the advisory committee for the Prairie View Pest
Control District ill. The petition requests extension of the termination date for
the above named district beyond December 31, 1992.
All interested persons should appear at said hearing and give testimony as to
whether or not the termination date should be extended.

RESOLUTION
RE: SET HEARING DATE TO CONSIDER PETITION FOR EXTENSION OF TERMINATION DATE OF
WEED DISTRICTS - PRAIRIE VIEW
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a Petition for the Extension of Termination
Date of Weed Districts from Prairie View Pest Control District #1 requesting a
public hearing be held to determine if the termination date should be extended,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35-5-104(7) , C.R.S. , the Board deems it
advisable that said hearing be set for Wednesday, February 17, 1993, at or about
9:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the hearing to consider extension of the termination date
for the Prairie View Pest Control District ill be, and hereby is, set for
Wednesday, February 17, 1993, at or about 9:00 a.m.

PETITION
FOR THE EXTENSION OF TERMINATION
DATE OF WEED DISTRICTS
To the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
We, the undersigned District Advisory Committee for the Prairie View Pest Control
District #1 do hereby petition the Board of County Commissioners, as per CRS 35-
5-104(7) , requesting an extension of the termination date of the district until
December 31, 1996. This Pest District will expire on December 31, 1992. The
Board of County Commissioners now must hold a public hearing, as per CRS 35-5-
104(7) , in order to determine whether to extend the termination date or not.
The weed species currently being managed in this pest district are; Canada
thistle, field bindweed and leafy spurge.

RE: REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TERMINATION DATES FROM PRAIRIE VIEW PEST
CONTROL DISTRICT #9
A public hearing was conducted on February 17, 1993 at 9:00 A.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chairman
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol Harding
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Extension Department representative, Ron Broda
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated January 18, 1993, and
duly published February 4, 1993, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing
was conducted to consider the request of the Prairie View Pest Control
District #9. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter
of record. Bruce Barker, Assistant County Attorney, explained that recent
action of the Board concerning other districts which had termination dates
of December 31, 1992, was to extend those dates to June 30, 1993. Ron
Broda, Extension Department representative, requested this also be
extended to that date. There was no public testimony offered concerning
this matter. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the request of the
Prairie View Pest Control District #9 for extension of the termination
date to June 30, 1993. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hall, and
it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 22nd day of February, 1993.
