RE: AGREEMENTS FOR SERVICES RELATED TO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to
enter into agreements for the benefit of the County pursuant to
Article III , Section 3-8 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, as
amended, and Section 30-11-101 , CRS , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners may delegate its
power to enter into agreements binding on the Board pursuant to
Article III, Section 3-8 (4) (1) of the Weld County Home Rule
Charter and Section 30-11-107 (1) (aa) , CRS , and
WHEREAS , Ed Jordan is the duly elected Sheriff of Weld County
and is vested with the duties and obligations of that office as
provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, specifically delegates to
the Weld County Sheriff, Ed Jordan, the authority to enter into
agreements that are binding upon the County for personal services
related to criminal investigations .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of
August, A.D. , 1990 .
