RE: SUPPORT RECYCLING EFFORTS AND EARTH DAY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners wishes to support recycling
and the purchase of products produced through recycling efforts, and
WHEREAS, Weld County Government currently is engaged in the recycling of
paper, metal, water, aluminum, petroleum, and freon, and
WHEREAS, Weld County Government currently purchases and utilizes recycled
products including paper, plastic and rubber products, and
WHEREAS, Weld County Government will continue to investigate the use of
additional recycled products.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that it shall be the policy of the Weld County Board of
Commissioners to continue to support the recycling efforts of Weld County
Government and the citizens of Weld County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Weld County Government wishes to
serve as an example to other organizations and businesses in Weld County to
purchase and use recycled materials.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Weld County recognizes that the
use of recycled products reduces the waste stream generated for landfill sites.
