IN THE MATTER OF THE ORGANIZATION OF GALETON WATER AND SANITATION
DISTRICT, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
THIS MATTER HAVING COME BEFORE THE COURT upon a petition for
the organization of a water and sanitation district, pursuant to
the provisions of Section 32-1-302 , et sect. , C. R. S . , and this Court
having entered its Order April 4 , 1989 , nunc pro tunc as
March 29 , 1989 , directing that an election on the matter of said
organization be held on June 6 , 1989 , the Court finds the
following:
1 . That the election on the issue of the organization of the
Galeton Water and Sanitation District held on June 6 , 1989 ,
was conducted in accordance with the requirements of Section
32-1-801, et seq. , C.R.S.
2 . That the majority of the votes cast at said election were in
favor of the organization of the Galeton Water and Sanitation
District.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, DECLARED AND DECREED:
1. That the Galeton Water and Sanitation District be, and the
same hereby is, declared to be duly organized under the
provisions of Section 32-1-305 (6) C.R.S . ;
2 . That it shall be known as the Galeton Water and Sanitation
District in all proceedings and is declared and decreed to be
a quasi-municipal corporation and a political subdivision of
the State of Colorado with all powers thereof;
3 . That the following shall serve as its initial Board of
Directors:
RICKY K. CECIL and ROBERT D. PFENNING, who shall serve until
they or their successors are elected and qualified at the
regular special district election to be held in 1991; and
WILLIAM W. WARREN, GLEN L. HILL and MANUEL M. SALAZAR, JR. ,
who shall serve until they or their successors are elected
and qualified at the regular special district election to be
held in 1993 ;

4 . That each director shall , within thirty (30) days of this
Order, appear before an officer authorized to administer oaths
and take an oath that he shall faithfully perform the duties
of his office as required by law and will support the
constitutions of the United States and Of the State of
Colorado, and the laws made pursuant thereto; and shall file
an individual , schedule or blanket surety bond in an amount
as required by Section 32-1-901, et sea. , C.R.S . , conditioned
upon the faithful performance of his duties as director;
5 . That the legal description of the boundaries of the territory
to be initially included within the Galeton Water and
Sanitation District shall be as set forth on Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, the same
lying within the County of Weld, State of Colorado. A map of
the District is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated
herein by reference.
6 . That pursuant to Section 32-1-306 C.R. S. , a copy of this
Order, Declaration of Organization, and Decree of Formation
shall be recorded in the records of the Clerk and Recorder of
Weld County and with the Weld County Assessor.

Galeton Water and Sanitation District
The proposed District is located entirely within Weld County,
Colorado, generally at the junction of Weld County Roads 74 and
51 , commonly referred to as the Galeton area, and more particularly
described as follows:
A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of
Section 5 and the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 6, all in Township 6 North, Range 64
West of the 6th Principal Meridian and in the Southeast
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 31 and the
Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32 ,
all in Township 7 North, Range 64 West of the 6th
Principal Meridian with portions of land in said Sections
5 and 6 lying within the platted boundaries of the Town
of Zita, now known as Galeton, all in Weld County,
Colorado; with all reference to recordings being those
filed with the Weld County Clerk and Recorder; said tract
of land being more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the North line of said Section 5
which lies 313 feet, more or less, East of the Northwest
corner of said section;
Thence South along the East line of the alley in
Blocks 3 , 4 , and 9 and its extensions as shown on the
Plat of the Town of Zita, now known as Galeton, a
distance of 925 feet, more or less, to the Southwest
corner of Lot 10, Block 9 of the Plat of the Town of
Zita.
Thence West 20 feet, more or less, to the Northeast
corner of a parcel of land described in Book 1187 ,
Reception #2132823 ;
Thence Southerly 423 .7 feet along the East line of said
parcel, to the Southeast corner of said parcel ;
Thence Westerly 298 . 2 feet, more or less, along the South
line of said parcel and Westerly extension thereof to the
East line of said Section 6 ;
Thence North along said section line 108 . 7 feet, more or
less, to the South line of Fourth Street of the First
Addition to the Town of Zita as extended Easterly;
Thence Westerly along the said South line of Fourth
Street extended a distance of 1015 . 5 feet, more or less,
to the Southwest corner of the First Addition to the Town
of Zita ;
Thence North 40 feet along the West line of said First
Addition to the Town of Zita to the Southeast Corner of

Thence East 250 feet along the North line of said School
District 103 parcel to the West line of said First
Addition to the Town of Zita;
Thence North 564. 3 feet along the said West line to the
Southeast corner of Galeton Park as described in deed

Thence, along the South line of Galeton Park, West 140
feet;
Thence along the West line of Galeton Park and as
extended, Northerly 337 . 1 feet to the North line of said
Section 6 ;
Thence Easterly along said section line 145. 9 feet, more
or less, to the West line of a parcel of land in said
Section 31, described in Book 1602 , Page 504 ;
Thence North 170 feet along the West line of said parcel ;
Thence East 200 feet along the North line of said parcel
and as extended Easterly;
Thence North 200 feet;

Lot A, Recorded Exemption No. 0711-31-4 RE 802 , Recorded
in Book 1118 , Reception No. 2059448 ;
Thence North along the West line of said Lot A, 200 feet;
Thence East 508 . 4 feet, more or less, to a point on the
East line of said Section 31, which point lies 570 feet,
more or less, North of the Southeast corner of said
Section 31;
Thence entering Section 32 , East 361. 2 feet;
Thence Southeast 685 feet, more or less, to a point on
the South line of said Section 32 , said point being the
Southeast corner of that tract of land described in Book
1067 , Reception #2007732 ; and which lies East 741 . 2 feet
from the Southwest corner of said Section 32 ;
Thence West 428 . 2 feet, more or less, to the Point of
Beginning.
