RE: ANNUAL MEETING - WINDSOR SHORES LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on November 2, 1992, at 9:00 A.M. with the
following present:
Commissioner George Kennedy, Chairman
Commissioner Constance Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner C. W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also Present: Director of Finance & Administration, Don Warden
Acting Clerk to the Board, Betty Henson
County Attorney, Thomas 0. David
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 21, 1992, and duly
posted October 27, 1992, the annual meeting of the Windsor Shores Law Enforcement
Authority was conducted. Donald Warden, Director of Finance and Administration,
recommended that this hearing be continued to December 9, 1992 due to the
uncertainty of the tax limitation amendment. Commissioner Lacy moved to continue
said hearing to December 9, 1992 at 9:00 A.M. There was no public testimony
offered. Mr. Warden explained that there are assessed values on the properties
included in said District. If the amendment passes, there cannot be a mill levy
set higher than the previous year, which was zero. Currently a mill levy of up
to seven mills is allowed. If no mill levy is set at the present time, an
election will be required to set one at a later date. Commissioner Harbert
seconded the motion which carried four to one, with Commissioner Kirby voting no.
This Certification was approved on the 4th day of November, 1992.
