RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM CONQUEST OIL COMPANY FOR PREADVERTISEMENT OF AN AMENDED
SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Conquest Oil Company for
preadvertisement of an application for an Amended Special Review Permit for an
oil and gas support facility (brinewater disposal) in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as part of the SEL SE'y of Section 8,
Township 4 North, Range 64 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said
request, with the hearing date to be set as July 14, 1993, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from Conquest Oil Company for preadvertisement
of an application for an Amended Special Review Permit for an oil and gas support
facility (brinewater disposal) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District be, and
hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as July 14, 1993, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of June, A.D. , 1993.

Pursuant to the zoning laws of the State of Colorado and the Weld County Zoning
Ordinance, a public hearing will be held in the Chambers of the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th
Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado, at the time specified. All persons in
any manner interested in the Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review
Permit are requested to attend and may be heard.
Should the applicant or any interested party desire the presence of a court
reporter to make a record of the proceedings, in addition to the taped record
which will be kept during the hearing, the Clerk to the Board's Office shall be
advised in writing of such action at least five days prior to the hearing. The
cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting party.
BE IT ALSO KNOWN that the text and maps so certified by the Weld County Planning
Commission may be examined in the office of the Clerk to the Board of County
Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street,

Dear Mr. Warden:
We hereby request authorization to preadvertise the hearing for the above referenced Use by
Special Review Permit application. Reasons for this request follow:
1. The demand for this facility is significant and preadvertisement would allow it to
operate at a higher capacity as quickly as possible.
2. The time necessary to expand the facility will take two to four weeks after
approval by the Board of County Commissioners. There is a pressing need to
provide additional disposal capacity to the County's oil and gas producers, and
pre-advertising will save a significant amount of time.
Please advise us of any additional information required by you or the Board of Commissioners.
