RE: APPROVE CONTINUANCE OF HEARING TO CONSIDER REQUEST OF JOY A.
ffEFFERSON FOR -SITE. SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL
JUNIEW PERMIT
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
-Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
-Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Soard of County Commissioners held a public
hearing on the 25th day of July, 1990 , at the hour of 10 : 00 a.m. ,
in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of considering the
request of Joy A. Jefferson for a Site Specific Development Plan
and Special Review Permit for a livestock confinement operation
(1, 500 cattle) , horse boarding and training facility (150 head) ,
and tack and feed store , and
WHEREAS, the Board was informed that Russell Anson, Attorney
representing the applicant, had submitted a letter requesting
continuance of said hearing until August 29 , 1990, at 10 : 00 a.m. ,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deemed it advisable to continue said
hearing to August 29 , 1990 , at 10 : 00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the -Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the hearing to
consider the request of Joy A. Jefferson for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit be, and hereby is,
continued to August 29 , 1990 , at 10 : 0O a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of
July, A:D. , 1990 .

JEFFERSON
A public hearing was conducted -on July 25, 1999, at 10:00 A.M. , with
the following pre-sent:
Commissioner Gene R. Brantner, Chairman
Commissioner George Kennedy, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner C.W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee D. Morrison
Planning Department representative, Lanell Curry
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certifythat pursuant to a -notice dated July 2, 1990, and duly
published ally 12, 1990, in The New News, a public hearing was
conducted to consider a Site Specific Development Plan and Special
Review Permit for a livestock confinement operation (1,500 cattle) ,
horse boarding and training facility (150 Mead) , and tack and feed
store for Joy A. Jefferson. Commissioner Kirby abstained from said
hearing due to a conflict of interest. Lee D. Morrison, Assistant
County Attorney, made this matter of _record. Lanell Curry, Planning
Department representative, informed the Board that -a letter has been
received from Russell Anson, Attorney representing the applicant,
requesting a continuance of this hearing until August 29, 1999, _at
10:00 a.m. Scott Jefferson, representing the applicant, came forward
to answer -questions of the Board. Bob Early, representing Amigo Farms,
requested the hearing be heard today. Ms. Curry said if this
application is denied, the -original Permit will be revoked.
Commissioner _Lacy moved to continue the request for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit to August 29, 1990, at 10:00
a.m. Commissioner Harbert seconded the motion. The motion passed on a
three-to-one vote, with Commissioner Kennedy voting nay.
This Certification was approved on the 39th day of July, 1990.
