STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND BENEFITS
The Sloan Family is the owner of a farm of approximately
156 acres , located in the Southeast quarter of Section one ,
Township 4 North, Range 68 West surrounding the Town of Johnstown
Elwell Cemetery and the Town of Johnstown Water Treatment Plant.
Between the Cemetery and the Water Plant, the Sloan ' s farm located
a pit silo, bordered on the East by the Cemetery, and on the West
by the Water Plant, however, the farm property includes an arm of
land located on the South side of the Cemetery.
The pit silo consists of approximately 21 , 720 square feet and the
arm of land is approximately 1 .844 acres .
To increase the mineral interests of the Sloan Family farm, the
Sloans ' desire the Town give them an undrillable right to the
mineral estate under the Cemetery in consideration of deeding to
the Town the pit silo and said arm of land, both parcels being of
no value to the farm.
The Town of Johnstown is agreeable to accepting both small parcels
of land to increase the Cemetery area. The Town has no interest
in the mineral estate under the Cemetery.
