RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF BOARD OF HEARING OFFICERS FOR 1991 ,
PURSUANT TO WELD COUNTY PERSONNEL POLICY HANDBOOK, WELD
COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 118 , AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to paragraph E. 3 . , entitled "Hearing
Officer" in the "Employee Grievances" portion of Weld County
Ordinance No. 118, as amended, and found in the Section entitled
"Conduct, Disciplinary Action, and Grievance Rights" of the Weld
County Personnel Policy Handbook, the Board of County
Commissioners must appoint a hearing officer by Resolution for any
grievance hearings requested by employees pursuant to the
procedures set forth therein, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has deemed it
appropriate to appoint a "Board of Hearing Officers" , and
WHEREAS, one member of said Board will be appointed by
separate Resolution to hear a particular grievance requested by an
employee pursuant to the grievance procedures in the Weld County
Personnel Policy Handbook, and
WHEREAS , said Board of Hearing Officers shall consist of
three attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado,
and shall serve terms beginning January 2 , 1991 , and ending
December 31, 1991 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board o£ County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Board of Hearing
Officers for the year 1991 shall consist of the following
individuals: Don Hoff, Lynn Karowsky, and Arthur Roy.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
January, A.D. , 1991 .
