The following agreement was entered into by and between the Boards of County Commis- sioners of Adams and Weld Counties and Harry Lindstrom in re a new steel bridge on the County line across the Platte River just west of the Brighton Sugar Factory , which agreement upon motion , duly seconded and carried , was ordered approved and placed on record ; said agreement ►tieing in words and figures as follows , to -wit : This agreement made and entered into by and between The Boards of County Commissioners of Adams and Weld Counties as party of the first part and Harry Lindstrom as party of the second part Witnesseth : That whereas the Counties of Adams and Weld are building a new steel bridgeon theC ounty line across the Platte River just west of the Brighton Sugar Factory and whereas there is con- siderable dirt fill to make for the approaches to the said proposed new bridge and whereas the said party of the second part desires to perform the said work , for the sum of twenty one cents ( 21r0 per yard of dirt measured in the fill , Now therefor it is agreed by and between the parties hereto that the said Harry Lind- strom shall perform all work and labor necessary to construct the said dirt fills for the ap- proaches to the said bridge for the total sum of $0 . 21 per yard of dirt measured in the fill , said work to be performed under the direction of and in the manner ordered by the Engineer in Charge of the said work. Second party shall be entitled to eighty per cent ( 80%) of en- gineers estimate df work performed on the 10th of the month following that in which the work was performed and the balance of 20;0 shall be retained until the completion of the work con- templated hereunder and evidence satisfactory to the first parties that all bills of second parties are paid . Second party further agrees that he will obtain dirt for the said fill by cutting down the Island just south of the old Bridge to the water line f March 1st 1926 . Powars offered the adoption of the following resolution : 3 WHEREAS , The District Courtof Weld County in Case No . 66(12 has found and adjudged that J. M. B. Petrikin is entitled to rebate of taxes for the year 1924 in the total sum of $150 .41 , including interest and costs , as to the following described property : The South Half ( S4) of the Northwest Quarter ( NW4) , the South Half ( s ) of the Northeast Quarter (Nall , the Southeast ( SLR ) and the Southwest Quarter ( SWi ) of Section Thirtyfour ( 34 ) , in Township Six ( 6 ) North of Range Sixty-four ( 64 ) West of the 6th P . Stanchfield regarding right of way for a public highway , said agreement Is in words and figures as follows , to -wit : AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT made this 20th day of April , A . D . , 1926 , by and between Weld County , Colorado , as first party , and E. E. Stanchfield , of Denver , Colorado , as second party, ►'V I Tip ,ES S ETH : H EAS , in consideration of his agreement to let the first party into possession of and his grant of right-of-way for a public highway sixty ( 60 ) feet in width running in a southwesterly direction across his land , to-wit : The Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section Eighteen , Township Four North , Range 62 West of the 6th P. Bedford. 4 "The assessment of this Bank was taken as of April 1 , 1924 , but the valua- tion was arrived at by taking the average from April 1 , 1923 to March 31 , 1924 , or for the year previous to that in which the tax was levied . IN WELD COUNTY This agreement made between Bert Kohlman , Nunn , Colorado as first party , and Weld County as second party . WITNESSETH : The first party has leased to Weld County for public highway purposes for the term of ten years herefrom a strip of ground fifty feet in width around the south southerly and easterly margin of the regional lake bed in the northwest corner of the northwest quarter of section 14 Township 9 N . Range 65 west of the 6th P . M. in Weld County on which strip a high- way is now located , is graded and fenced . It is understood that, this lease is in consideration of the maintenance of the road at the said present location and which terminates whenever said road should discontinue and at all evwnts which terminates at the end of ten years unless the County shall have by mutual agreement or condemnation acquired title to said land . It is further understood this agreement gives the County no title to said land , but only a right to use it subject to terms hereof for the period, ending ten years herefrom.
