RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDING - UNION
PACIFIC RAILROAD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on April 7, 1993 the Department of Planning Services informed the
Board that Union Pacific Railroad has a building on its property which is
considered to be dangerous to persons under the Uniform Code for the Abatement
of Dangerous Buildings, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as SW} SW} of Section 18, Township 1
North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after hearing all testimony presented, the Board deemed it
advisable to continue said matter to April 21, 1993 at 9:00 a.m. , to allow Union
Pacific Railroad to completely remove all debris, and
WHEREAS, at said meeting of April 21, 1993 Planning staff advised the Board
that all debris is being removed, and said matter should be dismissed, and
WHEREAS, based upon staff recommendation, the Board deems it advisable to
dismiss said matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that said matter concerning the abatement of a dangerous
building on property owned by Union Pacific Railroad be, and hereby is,
dismissed.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 21st day of April, A.D. , 1993.
