RE: DENY REQUEST FROM CONQUEST OIL COMPANY FOR PREADVERTISEMENT OF SPECIAL
REVIEW PERMIT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Conquest Oil Company for
preadvertisement of an application for a Site Specific Development Plan and
Special Review Permit for a brine water disposal facility in the A (Agricultural)
Zone District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as part of the SE SEy-, of Section 28,
Township 1 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to deny said
request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from Conquest Oil Company for preadvertisement
of an application for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit
for a brine water disposal facility in the A (Agricultural) Zone District be, and
hereby is, denied.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of November, A.D. , 1993.

RE: USR 1033 - REQUEST FOR A SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND A
SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT FOR A BRINE WATER DISPOSAL FACILITY IN THE
A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT ON A PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED AS
PART OF THE SE4 SE4 OF SECTION 28, TIN, R67W OF THE 6TH P.M., WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO
Dear Mr. Warden:
We hereby request authorization to preadvertise the hearing for the above referenced Use by
Special Review Permit application. Reasons for this request follow:
1. The demand for this facility is significant and preadvertisement would allow it to
operate as quickly as possible.
2. The time necessary to build the facility will be three months after approval by the
Board of County Commissioners. There is a pressing need to provide additional
disposal capacity to the County's oil and gas producers, and pre-advertising will
save a significant amount of time.
Please advise us of any additional information required by you or the Board of Commissioners.

Subseet Request for preadvertisement
Conquest Oil Company has submitted a request that the Special Review
Permit application which will be heard by the Planning Commission on
November 16, 1993, be preadvertised. A hearing before the Board could be
scheduled on December 8, 1993. If you wish to approve this request, the
specified date will allow adequate time for advertising.
