RE: ANNUAL MEETING - ANTELOPE HILLS LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 9, 1992, at 9:00 A.M. with the
following present:
Commissioner George Kennedy, Chairman
Commissioner Constance Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner C. W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also Present: Director of Finance & Administration, Don Warden
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol Harding
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 21, 1992, and duly
posted October 27, 1992, the annual meeting of the Antelope Hills Law Enforcement
Authority was conducted on November 2, 1992, at which time said hearing was
continued to December 9, 1992. Donald Warden, Director of Finance and
Administration, explained for the record that this Law Enforcement Authority was
created in the past year; therefore, it has no mill levy or budget established.
Due to State Constitutional Amendment One, which passed November 3, 1992, no
increase in mill levy can be set without a vote of the people in November.
Therefore, no action can be taken today. Mr. Warden recommended setting the next
meeting for the Antelope Hills Law Enforcement Authority next summer, so a
decision can be made as to whether or not it should be included on the November
ballot. There was no public testimony given. Commissioner Lacy moved to set the
next meeting on July 14, 1993 at 9:00 a.m. Seconded by Commissioner Harbert, the
motion carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 14th day of December, 1992.
