RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO THE WELD COUNTY UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Weld County Uniform Building Code
Board of Appeals, and
WHEREAS,it has been recommended that Karl Schmidt be appointed to the contractor
position on said Board, with his term to expire December 31, 1991, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Doug Round be appointed to the fire
department representative position on said Board, with his term to expire December
31 , 1991, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to reappoint Stephen Wernsman to the
engineering position and Larry Jorgensen to the electrician position on said Board,
with their terms to expire December 31, 1993.
WHEREAS, the Board desires to appoint Karl Schmidt and Doug Round to the Weld
County Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to reappoint Stephen Wernsman and Larry Jorgensen
to the Weld County Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Karl Schmidt and Doug Round be, and hereby are, appointed to
the Weld County Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals, with their terms to expire
December 31, 1991.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Stephen Wernsman and Larry Jorgensen
be, and hereby are, reappointed to the Weld County Uniform Building Code Board of
Appeals, with their terms to expire December 31, 1993.

Please add the following appointments/reappointments the Commissioners'
Monday, January 14, 1991, agenda:
Weld County Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals
Karl Schmidt (contractor) will be appointed to replace Ralph Hicks who has
served the maximum length of time. Mr. Schmidt's appointment will expire
12/31/91. (Short term to correct expiration date staggering. )
Doug Round (fire department representative) will be appointed to replace
Robert Gary Sandau who has served the maximum length of time. Mr. Round' s
appointment will expire 12/31/91. (Short term to correct expiration date
staggering. )
Stephen Wernsman (engineer) and Larry Jorgensen (electrician) will be
reappointed with terms to expire 12/31/93.
