RE: APPROVE NOTIFICATION OF INCREASED FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Notification of Increased
Funding from the Colorado Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal
Justice, to the Community Corrections Board for second quarter funding for the
Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 1992, and ending June 30, 1993, with the further
terms and conditions being as stated in said notification, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
notification, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Notification of Increased Funding from the Colorado
Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, to the Community
Corrections Board be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign said notification.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of December, A.D. , 1992.

Dear Sharon:
The Colorado Department of Public Safety hereby notifies the Weld County
Community Corrections Board that effective October 1 , 1992, the maximum
amount of reimbursement provided in Contract Routing #930053 for
residential transition placements for specialized services at a daily rate of
845.21 per offender, is hereby increased by $187,169 to a new total of
$374,338, for services provided July 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992.
Paragraph 1 .A.2., line item 2 is changed to read:
$374,338 for residential transition placements for specialized
services as described in Exhibit "A" at a daily rate of $45.21

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR $368,236 for services provided January 1 through June 30,

Colorado Bureau services provided July 1 , 1992 through June 30, 1993 if the

Dear Chairman Kennedy:
Enclosed please find four (4) copies of the letter increasing the funding
through the second quarter of the Fiscal Year July 1, 1992, to June 30, 1993,
for residential transition placements for specialized services (Residential
Treatment Center - CIRT services) , as provided in paragraph 1.A.4. of the master
Contract executed between the Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal
Justice and the Board of Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of Weld County
Community Corrections Board.
This letter has been reviewed and approved by the Weld County Attorney's Office.
Also enclosed is a copy of the Minutes of the November 12, 1992, Community
Corrections Board Meeting, noting Board authorization for the Chairman to sign
this letter.
The Community Corrections Board is requesting the Weld County Board of County
Commissioners sign this letter, at which time it will be forwarded to the State
of Colorado for final execution.

MEETING MINUTES
November 12, 1992
ROLL CALL: Chairman: Tom Quammen
Members Present : Bill Arries, Dick Evans, Carolyn Mettler, Ray Mora,
Lee Steele and Judge West
OTHERS PRESENT: Michael Brand, Doug Erler, DeAnn George, and Pam Knight
The Meeting was called to order at approximately 12:20 p.m.
The Agenda was approved with the addition of Information Items concerning the
Review Committees and attendance at Board Meetings.
The Minutes of the October Meeting were approved as presented.
The Review Committee Minutes were reviewed.
ACTION ITEMS
Second Quarter Contract Funding for the Residential Treatment Center - After
discussion, Judge West made the motion that the letter extending funding for the
Residential Treatment Center to December 31, 1992, be signed and processed. Dick
Evans seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Grant Fund Request - After discussion, Judge West made the motion that the
request from the Residential Treatment Center for $224.75 to purchase videos for
that program be approved. Ray Mora seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously.
Good Time/Earned Time Policy - After considerable discussion of the Good
Time/Earned Time Policy, Judge West made the motion that all clients either
entering or currently on residential status receive day-for-day good time
effective this date (November 12, 1992) . Dick Evans seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
INFORMATION ITEMS
Review Committees - The Chairman noted the need for attendance at Review
Committee Meetings in order that all Committee members be able to discuss
whatever input is available in each case.
Board Meeting Attendance - The Chairman also stressed the importance of
attendance at Regular Board Meetings and noted that this is addressed in the
Board's Bylaws.
